4 fish fingers = 440 calories, 1/3 of a normal adult female caloric daily intake, I’d say you are overeating.
Unless you all work at the docks…

Your maths is not up to the job.

2000 calories is the generally recommended amount for women.

ladycarlotta · 17/11/2022 19:14

I would have 3 with beans and chips etc, and probably 4 in a sandwich. I don't know if that's logical but it makes sense to me.
My partner would probably eat up to 5. Preschooler is generally happy with two.

ChristmasJumpers · 17/11/2022 19:14

I'd have 4, either on a sandwich or with chips and spaghetti hoops (hate beans).

I wint actually have any right now though, the price of them is horrendous!!!

KettrickenSmiled · 17/11/2022 19:14

Are you an adult?
How many fish fingers do you want to eat?
THAT is your adult-sized portion of fish fingers.

SteveBuscemisRheumyEye · 17/11/2022 19:14

Let's face it - people who think over 3 is "massively greedy" are eating pudding/ biscuits/ generally scoffing shite outside of meal times 🙄

I have 4 in a sandwich, 5-6 for dinner. Yum.

Baconand · 17/11/2022 19:14

Ok I’ll confess-I have been known to have just a big plate of fishfingers and ketchup as a late night snack. I can do most of a box of 20 if the mood takes (but it’s too expensive these days to do that often!)

Needmorelego · 17/11/2022 19:15

When I was young I always thought cod (the actual fish) was pretty much the same size as a fish finger. Essentially goldfish size. Was shocked to discover they are actually massive fish.
🤣

🤦🏻‍♀️ 4 fish fingers = 250 calories. Do you not read the box they come in? It helpfully gives the Kcal count per fish finger.

RisingSunn · 17/11/2022 19:16

Adult portion has to be 6!

Winterfires · 17/11/2022 19:16

Gymrabbit · 17/11/2022 18:18

With chips and beans I’d have 3 and I’m both overweight and a bit piggy.

anymore is massively greedy.

🤣🤣

Cucumber 😱😱😱😱😱😱 and brown sauce😱😱😱😱😱- are you okay?😂

Ive heard of someone who puts brown sauce on their fish fingers.

I kept my distance from them

FarmersWife2019 · 17/11/2022 19:17

Just finished my fish fingers, chips and beans tea. We had 3 each but could easily eat double that. 😂🐷

And they have lots of fingers. Thats what Ive learned from this thread anyway.

I am sire it used to be 100 calories per fish finger.

TabithaTittlemouse · 17/11/2022 18:19

Bloody hell, I would have said two was enough!

Are you an actual mouse??

wondering100 · 17/11/2022 19:08

Literally 8 or 10 what is with the 2 fish finger thing!
My 1 year old eats two, are we talking about the Birdseye size fish finger?

They are bullshitting/talking about lunch. No adult eats two fish fingers for their evening meal. And if they do they probably have a mountain of deep fried chips with them then complain to Barbra from weight watchers that they can't understand why they're still 'piggy' when they hardly eat ANYTHING.

PrimrosesandPears · 17/11/2022 19:18

I’m genuinely very surprised at these answers as I usually think my portions are large for most things. We have 3 or 4 each for the adults and my toddler usually has 2.

antelopevalley · 17/11/2022 19:17

No, used to be 50 in fact, I still work on the power of 50 per finger and often get caught short on my daily cals if Ive eaten fish fingers

The ones I just looked at were 141 calories per 3 fish fingers! You could eat loads of them.

I really want fish fingers now.

ItsOverUnder · 17/11/2022 19:19

In our halls at Uni were were served 5 fish fingers as standard.

redbigbananafeet · 17/11/2022 19:20

Mycatisalwayshungry (no wonder) what fish fingers do you get that are 110 calories each? Birdseye are 59 each.

getoutof · 17/11/2022 19:20

3 or 4. If on my own I'd probably have 5.

Girasoli · 17/11/2022 19:20

3 or 4, I like them with chips and salad.

ChristmasJumpers · 17/11/2022 19:20

Just asked DH with no context and he says 4. I suppose it all depends what you're having with them.

P.s. if you haven't had these before - try them!!

  1. Fish fingers, crispy smokey bacon & ketchup on a roll
  2. Thick buttery bread, 4 Fish fingers, one potato waffle with cheese melted on and ketchup 😋😋😋😋

And always lots of vinegar on your fish fingers too

MrsSkylerWhite · 17/11/2022 19:21

I have 8 but usually only with veg or salad. Husband has 4/5 with mash or chips and veg.
