General election tomorrow - who do you vote for?

I'm so sick of this government and reading a lot of the posts on here, it feels like on the one hand, so are lots of people, but there are also lots of other people who are very sceptical about labour or lib dem or greens. Added to which, there are so many issues at the moment, I know there's a lot of GC and what makes a woman, that is particularly important at the moment, and cost of living, private rentals, the environment, etc etc

So knowing what you know about the parties, if there was a general election tomorrow, who would you vote for..

YABU - Tories
YANBU - Labour
Comment for a third option

I used to be green, but I'm so not sure any more. So I think I'd vote labour, to stand best chance of keeping Tories out. (What I'd really like to vote for is a more representative government)

I've voted in every GE since my 18th birthday. This time I won't vote. I won't vote for a stupid person who thinks women can have a penis e.g. Starmer and Davies. I won't vote for Tories as I really don't like Sunak. No one else to vote for.

This... No one to want for... I'd just vote tactically anyway... Tories should never be allowed back to Westminster...

AnarchoTyrannosaurus · 27/05/2023 10:37

Neither. I'm going to consider one of the alternative parties.

I won’t vote. I’ve always voted Tory but can’t bring myself to next time round. However I also have 2 DC at private school and can’t afford the 20% VAT in school fees. If it wasn’t for that specific, niche policy, I’d vote Labour.

Ditto! Same for us! I cannot vote Labour for this reason alone.

sunnydaysandhappythoughts · 27/05/2023 10:49

Not sure - do not want to vote Labour as I'm not happy with Kier Starmer's comments on women and changing policies so frequently, absolutely not Lib Dem due to their stance on women and not happy with how the conservatives have acted so equally don't feel inclined to vote for them either

Rotterdammer · 27/05/2023 10:53

I live in a very marginal seat that should go to Labour. I am a life long lefty. I will be spoiling my ballot paper, as unlike Starmer and the Lib Dem leader I don’t believe any woman has a penis.

fuckip · 27/05/2023 10:57

I didn't vote last time, I just couldn't bear to choose anyone, I spoiled the ballot.

Before that I used to read the local candidates bios, manifestos and their understanding of the local area. I have therefore voted for a number of parties over the years!

These days things feel even worse.

CuriouslyDifferent · 27/05/2023 10:57

None of the above

Biker47 · 27/05/2023 10:57

Whoever is likely to unseat the current Labour MP, which historically has been conservatives that have polled 2nd.

Cattenberg · 27/05/2023 11:02

I think I’d have to hold my nose and vote Lib Dem (Labour never win here).

We shouldn’t have to choose between the NHS and women’s rights, but apparently we do. The Tories have left our public services in a very poor state and it worries me a great deal. They also aren’t doing enough to combat environmental pollution and climate change.

jeaux90 · 27/05/2023 11:04

The party that knows what a woman is.

I am life long Labour voter and used to be a party member.

I refuse to vote Lib Dem, green or Labour. They are gaslighting women. It's abusive.

dutysuite · 27/05/2023 11:05

None of them. I can’t vote Labour because of Starmer - his views on women and the way he is so far up the backside of the WEF (aren’t they all) and because of what’s going on with Sadiq Khan. I won’t be voting Tory and I definitely won’t be voting Lib Dem or Green. There’s just not a party for me.

Purplebunnie · 27/05/2023 11:08

I will probably spoil my paper.

Ihateboris · 27/05/2023 11:09

None of them...they're all a bunch of self serving, lying, incompetent twats.

Parisj · 27/05/2023 11:10

Colourfingers2 · 26/05/2023 23:02

None of them I have never seen such a shower of incompetent deluded shite in Parliament in all my 48 years. Votes were hard won over centuries for ordinary working women and men so I refuse to waste mine on any of the current encumbents.

This

RhubarbandCustardYummyYummy · 27/05/2023 11:11

How have the tories got a great track record on women’s rights???? Madness. Labour voter here - not perfect but we need the Tories OUT! They’ve killed the NHS and the economy and are working on education next!

CeeJay81 · 27/05/2023 11:11

We are a very safe Tory seat. Closest rivals are Lib dems, so I'd vote for them even though it would feel pointless.

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 27/05/2023 11:11

If we have an independent, them . I hate the party system.

Or anyone dressed as a teapot, dustbin, monkey or emu would get my vote. Yes I am really disillusioned.

Waxdrip · 27/05/2023 11:14

Not Labour, LibDem or Green because of their anti women nonsense. And definitely not Tory for reasons too many to list. SDP or an independent.

Stepbystep100 · 27/05/2023 11:15

We have to vote tactically.

It's a Con area and I've NEVER voted Con. The second placed party is always LD, so that's where my vote would go regardless of who it was. Pity because I'd like to vote Green or Labour but my vote to have any chance of being effective has to go to LD. While people think like me, made to do so by the system, we.wont get a true reflection.

I bet if our votes were added up and split over the MPs then Green would do so much better

Sunset6 · 27/05/2023 11:18

I will read the Labour manifesto with interest as I’m not really sure what they stand for at the moment, however every chance I will vote for them (for the first time) as I’m fed up of the incompetence of the Tories and can’t forgive them for Covid.

They didn’t actually cause Covid to be fair and without the furlough and bounce back loans an awful lot of people would have starved to death through not being able to earn a wage.
Can you imagine Keir Starmer and his party being able to organise something on that scale. The man is incapable of making a decision. It was labour that set up Sats and Ofstead as well as bringing us into not one but two illegal wars in a decade. And what did that accomplish apart from making us a target for islamic terrorism straight after reaching a peace agreement with the IRA.
Labour is the party of tax and spend and debt and bankruptcy.
I wouldn’t trust them to organise a prayer in a monastery.
No politician can be believed or trusted, they haven’t known what the truth is for a generation at least.
Plus the two party system is anything but democratic. One in power and one opposing them then after a few years they swap. C’mon people it’s time for a massive change after 400 years of the same thing isn’t it?

humblemeep · 27/05/2023 16:07

YNBU Labour all the way. I've never voted conservative and definitely wouldn't after the state they're leaving our country in now! Can't believe anyone would vote for them.

humblemeep · 27/05/2023 16:12

Having said that, I too will vote tactically to get the conservatives out. Couldn't care less what they say about women and penises as I'm far too worried about the state of the NHS.

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 27/05/2023 16:13

Labour.

LibDem have no chance round here and I want the Tories out so I will vote Labour.

Whammyyammy · 27/05/2023 16:14

I stopped voting. Don't like any of them, so I don't waste my time voting.
