yes this is a TAAT technically but surely when 15 year old posts get revived there should be something in place (other than the this is an old thread message)

A poster called Waybackthenn has deliberately revived them all and is likely to be blocked promptly for being an idiot.

This is a troll who's doing it nightly.

It’s a persistent troll. They were here under a different name the other day. They wait until this time of night because the moderation is lighter. They’re an idiot. Report the threads as you see them and they’ll be banned again soon enough.

I agree, but you generally get a lot of 'oh I love Zombie threads, me, can't get enough of them I don't know why anyone cares' type replies.

It's a disruptive and annoying TROLL who keeps rebooting 15 year old threads. No-one knows why, but it's fucking bizarre. It's constant. New names a dozen times a day. Must have no life. Or job. OR friends. OR family. It's happened probably a hundred times this week alone.

I wonder if it's the water troll/bison troll? THEIR behaviour was/is off the charts batshit and weird too. All VERY puzzling. Must be driving mumsnet nuts! It's pissing me off a bit. I can't fathom why mumsnet don't lock the thread as soon as they delete the post by the numb nut/troll who rebooted it.

I've honestly reported over 30 tonight.
Something has to change because its making the site unusable for me.

Personally I think it's someone who whinges about the ability to bump old posts, who spends far too much time on here and is on a mission to make sure they can't get bumped by being a pest until it happens. 🕵

Yeah I have reported about 5 or 6 in the past 15 minutes. Shame there isn't a way for Mumsnet to lock every thread that has been inactive since before 2021, with one click. No way to do that though. None of them are archived, and the vast majority - 10s of 1000s are still 'active.' Very few are locked. Even from nearly 2 decades ago. This is NOT going to stop anytime soon.

Plot twist - is OP the one bumping them and now getting people to collectively moan about something they are doing only to laugh at them - or am I a bit paranoid 😂

Who knows - that's also the problem with being able to name change every bloody second, you can't tell who is who!!!!

@ofwarren I think this is the whole point. It's someone (or some people) who have a grudge against MN and are trying to make it unusable.
