What is with all the 2007 threads today??

Some people been searching up some weird shit.

yes this is a TAAT technically but surely when 15 year old posts get revived there should be something in place (other than the this is an old thread message)

I don't know why a site as big as Mumsnet doesn't have mechanisms in place to deal with this, spam of some form is really common on forums. Most sites would temporarily put in account verification requirements for new accounts, so those newly registering can't post until their account has been manually authorised, giving opportunity to check if it's a previously banned poster (IP address etc)
It's not a foolproof system but the current system where trolls can continuously disrupt the website is a bit bizarre.

I reported the thread in question 'how was life different 15 years ago' and MNHQ reported back that it wasn't a troll and a long standing user so it must have been a coincidence

I reported this thread and it came back from MNHQ as not a troll and a long term member

Just very bemused by the amount of zombie threads lately.
