AIBU to think this is not tat

Recently purchased this rather gorgeous glass and metal pineapple from our local charity shop. I love it, but DH thinks it's ugly tat. Obviously he's wrong and has no appreciation for it's beauty. Maybe you lovely MN'ers can settle this argument for me.

It isn't my taste buy I think if you had a blue/silver/crystal themed room it could be fabulous.

Take heart OP - look at all the uses for it people on here are coming up with:

Put lights in it
Put sweets in it
Put biscuits in it
Put ice in it
Put a candle in it
Put it in the window to signify swinging

So for a tat object it is proving to have a myriad of possible uses!

Oh yes. Clearly stylised not realistic. I suppose it does look a bit dangerous

Tbf I wouldn't have bought it myself but if I ended up with it. I might learn to adapt to it 😂

That cocktail trolley should give you some ideas.. and even helpfully shows a gold pineapple! Dedicated to the tat... although I do quite like your pineapple, wouldn't have paid £8 for it though!

Yes I've had some great suggestions, does a pineapple really suggest swinging? Can't be bothered with that messy rubbish so it can stay on it's podium in the back.
