AIBU to think this is not tat

Recently purchased this rather gorgeous glass and metal pineapple from our local charity shop. I love it, but DH thinks it's ugly tat. Obviously he's wrong and has no appreciation for it's beauty. Maybe you lovely MN'ers can settle this argument for me.

Obviously I know what this answer is 😁...If anyone has one, or knows where it's from I'd be intrigued to know, I'm thinking TKMaxx.

Together with the whatever it is on the wall above, it's now getting to the so bad it's good territory. The lights are a definitely improvement.

The Buddha, otoh, is plug ugly. I'd be inclined to bin him - surely your DH won't complain, he can practice not being attached to things.

It is tat without the lights, but with the lights it is fantastic!

I don’t mind a Buddha in general, but that one leaves rather a lot to be desired. Dh is the ultimate CF to slate your taste.

It would be fine if it wasn’t so big! It looks about a foot tall.

We have a couple of the brass ones but they are mug-sized and fit on a shelf.

However, I fear it may need its own cctv in case DH "trips" nearby and it meets an untimely end....

The pineapple is definitely better than the Buddha. The Buddha is bloody awful.

Now I know why you bought it. Its to hide that fugly Buddha inside. What fun to place it inside with fairy lights and see how long it takes DH to notice his Buddha screaming to be let out 😂

It's tat. And doesn't go with the decor in your living room
