I read it today in an online paper…imagine that, if you did only two shows per week (worked two hours per week) that’s 480 grand a year?!

I have no feelings towards but she was a young mum, has got herself out of a situation and earns a load of cash. Don't think you can call that thick.

Please link a few threads where people are protesting what male celebrities or sportspeople get paid. As people are ‘always protesting about them’, it should be fairly easy.

I presume none of us aren't thick but we don't get the kind of money they get.

I don't know about on here but in general ..... Footballers pay especially has always been talked about, everyone moans about their ridiculous pay don't they? I'd be shocked if it wasn't.

But can you link any other threads where women are singled out for being overpaid? This is the first thread I've seen. But in general it's men's pay that get moaned about surely?

I said It’s also interesting that this thread is focussing on a handful of relatively well paid women in entertainment, as opposed to the likes of Ant and Dec or, even better, multi-millionaire footballers. We’re apparently fine with men earning ridiculous amounts of money. I made no mention of other threads.

If, in the context of MN (the ‘we’, in the above quote), you have any evidence that people are always protesting about what male celebs earn, then please share it.

But I don't know of other threads where women's pay was criticized either. It's a one off thread and we should be able to discuss it without the oh so predictable "but men's pay doesn't get criticized" .... Like I said, maybe not on here but in the real world it's men who come under the firing line for ridiculously high wages....and rightly so. On the other hand I never read about womens pay being moaned about.

You can discuss whatever you want. And I have the exact same freedom to observe that it’s only happening to women. Your unsubstantiated claims that this isn’t the case ‘in the real world’ have no relevance to that observation.

I like loose women but think the topics could be a bit better. My favourite on the Panel are Janice, Judy and Charlene.

I can't understand the confusion. It was you or so someone else made the statement that if it was men's earnings no one would comment.

When I said that men's high earnings were always coming under fire I was asked for links to threads. I said not necessarily on here but in general, much more than women....So I asked for links to threads where any other women had come under fire for earning a lot. None were forthcoming.

I just thought it was a ridiculous statement, that's why I commented.
