If I can, that is, barring being taken short or being on holiday?

OP posts:

I absolutely cannot stand when ADULTS come in a toilet and say ‘urgh it absolutely stinks in here! Ewww!’ And make a big fuss. Like grow the fuck up maybe someone had a bad tummy or a small child had to go or whatever. Like they never poo! Probably the type of people that only shit once every five days when their dp isn’t in and spray minging air freshener everywhere in case someone finds out they poo.

Hoppinggreen · 20/10/2022 19:41

I generally only poop at home. It’s not really a choice, my bum just goes “nope”
I figure it’s an evolutionary thing as we are vulnerable when we poop.
If I am on holiday that’s “home” for a bit so my bum seems to find it acceptable

Same. Its not a conscious choice for me. I would just never actually need to go when I'm not at home. My butt doesn't see it as an option.

YABU.

The ability to shite anywhere is one of life's great skills.

ivykaty44 · 20/10/2022 19:45

Would you mind if someone came to your house, someone you didn't know too well, and they done a poo in your toilet?

no problem here

woodhill · 20/10/2022 19:46

I'm the same yanbu

Question for you all

Would you mind if someone came to your house, someone you didn't know too well, and they done a poo in your toilet?

I am genuinely curious as I always have to poo everywhere I go Grin

I can't imagine anyone giving a shit (ha).

So you wouldn't even need to go when on a two week holiday away from home?

ParentConfessionTime · 20/10/2022 19:48

Sorry OP but this reminds me of a fantastic Family Guy episode with original songs

One being 'Home Bowl (poop before my anus bleeds)'. ...not for those easily offended!!

Hellocatshome · 20/10/2022 19:50

I just poo if I need to poo I mean that's what toilets are for. Also absolutely anyone can poo in my toilet at home, again that's what it's there for. Never understood the mindset of being all weird about having a poo and can't stand people who make a fuss about there being a smell in public toilets, I'm pretty sure no one intends on stinking the place out and if they unfortunately do why make them feel worse about it.

BlueEyesUltimateDragon · 20/10/2022 19:50

@novacaneforthepain I don't mind anyone using my home for their pooping, in fact it because such a regular thing with one friend that I now have a sign with "friend's bathroom" in her favourite toilet 😂

So you wouldn't even need to go when on a two week holiday away from home?

Eventually after a few days I aclimatise(although last holiday after 5 days(!) I ended up taking some laxatives to get things going) but if I was just staying with friends or family for a few days or on a weekend away I just wouldn't need to shit even though when I'm at home a same time every day kind of woman.

I don't care when or where other people do it but my body just doesn't want to do it when not at home.

toulet · 20/10/2022 19:51

Always makes me laugh when someone comes into the toilet and says, "OMG it STINKS in here!"

Tbf some people pass inhumane shits!

novacaneforthepain · 20/10/2022 19:52

Thank god! It does stress me out!

toulet · 20/10/2022 19:52

I only pooh at home, but hotels etc are fine. I like to relax & have a read😆

JustDanceAddict · 20/10/2022 19:53

I never pooed out of the house (or hotel
if on hols) until I went travelling as a young adult. It cured me of that particular habit!!
i would still rather poo at home but have no issue with going at other times.

toulet · 20/10/2022 19:53

I don't keep it in but my body is just trained to not need it & I always go at night or morning.

toulet · 20/10/2022 19:55

my butt is the same

bellsbuss · 20/10/2022 19:55

Unless I'm touching cloth I wait until I get home

lljkk · 20/10/2022 19:56

I admit to mild fascination about the physiology of people (MNers) who can go long periods without defecating. They can seem to hold it forever. Questions for Any of the people like that, who just wait (hours-days-weeks) until it's more convenient to poo:

Do you also have chronic constipation, like it's painful for hours-days-weeks until you go?

Do you ever... go for a run? Consume Caffeine? Eat lots of veg & fruit & high fibre foods?

Do you do all those things regularly but they truly make no difference to your bowels of steel control?

whynotwhatknot · 20/10/2022 19:56

i never used to but needs must lately (think i have a gluten problem) i hate leaving the toilets stinking but cant help that

woodhill · 20/10/2022 19:56

It's the fact that the toilets are not private like the one is at home

mavismorpoth · 20/10/2022 19:56

Anally retentive.

Bookaholic73 · 20/10/2022 19:57

YANBU I can’t poo anywhere other than at home, when nobody else is at home.

toulet · 20/10/2022 19:57

I don't run but exercise, don't really have caffeine but eat lots of fruit, veg & fibre. As I said I'm very regular & only need a pooh at night or morning. Strong stomach too so most food doesn't impact me.

I don't like the belittling of people who feel like OP. It is what it is and very common.

I drove home from work recently to use the WC. I made an excuse and am lucky I only live 10 mins drive away. I completely sympathise OP.

Driving home to go to the loo is not common.

You do you obviously, but it is very unusual.
