Well she's staggered on to PMQs today. Get the popcorn ready.

And the problem is that most of those you name were part of the very toxic tories propping up this and the Johnson government.

We need an election.

I don't think Mordaunt will get much past 50 names. I think Graham Brady wants a coronation on Monday.

Would be quite something if the members voted against the MPs' indicative vote of the final two.

Another of Johnson's problems is that he's by no means guaranteed to retain his seat. Obviously that's true of every Tory in Parliament at the moment, but with a majority of only 7k he's more vulnerable than most other contenders (Raab has no chance). They could move him to somewhere safer, but the optics of that are bad.

Yes. Final two is Sunak and Mordaunt. Membership will get that "choice", which is not a choice.

The membership were greedy and simple minded. They went for Truss. They will be cut out by MPs who want to keep seats.

There is NO way this will go to the members...

I don't know if this will continue, but I think MPs will be incredibly wary of Mordaunt...

The MPs (unlike the last leadership election) are having an 'indicative vote' of the two final people standing.

Brady did explain that there may only be one candidate who makes the 100 votes in which case they will be declared the winner regardless of anything else.

Johnson has a few whips and the party deputy chair.

Johnson knows he will very likely win with the members, who I'm sure would ignore the indicative vote of MPs if he made the final two.

If he manages to get to the magic 100 he knows he's home and dry..

Some mutterings about whether Boris Johnson can hit the 100 mark but both those in the pro and anti-Boris camps seem fairly convinced he'll sail through.

BBB - Bring Back Boris
ABS - Anyone But Sunak
ABB - Anyone But Boris

Honestly, if he does return there is no such thing as democracy anymore.

There really should be an embargo on ousted PMs running for PM again within the lifetime of the Government. Surely?

I mean if we get Boris we get a GE so…

Would be interesting to see how many MPs follow through on their threats to leave the party if Boris does return.
