Thank you @BloodAndFire - your kindness is much appreciated - yes, I’m still reeling internally while navigating my own personal “upside down” and trying not to go completely round the bend…..
The thought of anyone in our position being put through extra stress in that sort of situation makes my blood boil. And not just the person suffering and their loved ones but the poor paramedics who are on a mission to save them - they end up traumatised too.
By all means if someone believes in a cause so strongly then they can sacrifice themselves - be a martyr - but they don’t get to make that decision for others. And I’ve never truly understood martyrdom - better to live to fight another day and figure out more intelligent ways of doing it .
