The law, science and medical guidelines don’t apply to her apparently.

I think it’s absolutely stupid and she should be condemned, but it’s not a sacking matter imo.

In normal times it would be, but now you can only be sacked for crashing the entire economy.

I'm still waiting for the crap to hit the fan when people realise she spent £6 million on getting an office balcony built so she didn't have to go too far to smoke

WTF??

She wasn't able to continue her degree at Oxford as not academically possible. So I'm thinking she failed her second year exams...

The Guardian also said the comments she made on antibiotics for a friend were 'private' - however the comments were made in a meeting with civil servants, so not exactly private.

She's also against same sex marriage.

Maybe not as thick as mince, but definitely full of crap.

Coffey is another illiberal right winger like Truss.

They've received a kicking from the public and the money markets, quite rightly. Hopefully at the next reshuffle, she'll be moved because she's the least appropriate Health Minister I can think of. Yet another example of Liz Truss' poor judgement.

I'm expecting her to come out with Trumpisms like drinking bleach to kill covid. 😀.

@MarshaMelrose training basically. A PhD is an academic apprenticeship and by itself it won't get you a job. Its a ticket to compete. The market is oversaturated with PhDs My supervisor pushed me for three publications in reputable journals plus teaching experience before I finished.
