When he left, he seemed to imply he may...?

It was quite amazing how the mood changed as soon as Boris appeared back in the frame. The labour MPs became very aggressive rather than the roll their eyes at the silly Tories stance they had had. It seems they actually fear Boris’s return more than any other. He would have two years to over come partygate and then I think the labour lead would be slashed considerably

Its disappointing news. If only we had a cuntpaste expert to pop a link up for us.

Are you referring to a poster on here?

I knew Penny for a few years when we were all younger. For a number of reasons, I would never , ever have seen her as a prospective PM. She does not have the essential soft skills required to reach out to non Tories. She is completely Planet Tory.

Might work better than the Lib Dem they picked last time to lead them.

Yes, theres a poster round here who loves to cutnpaste a link.

DoubleDinnurs · 20/10/2022 20:30

Er, how many people resigned before he did? Hardly the beacon of stability is he?

He is on holiday at the moment. He doesn't even show up to work ffs.

Plus his sister is possibly Amanda from Mortherland.

I certainly fear Boris’ return.

He would probably be a sort of adequate PM in good times. He is neither serious nor hard working enough to steer the country through a crisis, and that’s exactly where we are.

If he makes a return, so soon after being ousted by his own party, then I hope we’ll see massive civil unrest.

It is quite baffling that anyone wouldn't be angry at the idea of someone who broke laws they introduced returning as PM.

Oh right maybe use this wording as the other one was a bit aggro ;

I do fear that is where the Tory party has sunk too though.

I’ve never voted Tory but I’d be somewhat reassured about the state of our economy if Sunak became PM.

Boris will just mean 2 more years of constant crisis and scandal. It’s all he’s ever done.

Boris's return is bizarre, however partygate was deliberately manufactured to undermine the government.
But civil unrest, really.

LargeglassofRosePlease · 20/10/2022 20:40

I bloody hope so. Love Boris < gets hard hat and runs>

VikingVolva · 20/10/2022 20:14

Of the 21% of Tory MPs who have declared, Guido Fawkes has Boris on 38, Rishi on 27 and Penny on 11

I'm probably being a bit thick here but have these three said they are running if they have already got votes or is it presumed that they are, I thought they didn't know yet

If it were ‘manufactured’ then what on earth was he apologizing for?

Was his unlawful prorogation of parliament ‘manufactured’ too?

How about his appointment of Chris Pincher (and his being caught in a lie…again…about it)?

@RedAppleGirl Can you explain to me why Boris engineered partygate to undermine his own government?
Was he so short of cash he needed to bail and go speaking in the US?

Cuntpaste expert....now that's a typo 😂

sashagabadon · 20/10/2022 20:56

If Boris gets enough support he will be back. I wouldn’t mind, I thought party gate was utter nonsense

I hear Boris takes it as a supplement.

What do you think about the fact his colleagues could no longer work alongside him, because he kept asking them to spin whatever lies came into his head and it all became a farce?

His MPs rejected him. Rightly so.

RedAppleGirl · 20/10/2022 21:02

Watch the internet implode if he lands in no 10.
Again.😂

@sashagabadon perhaps you would be so good as to explain why a Prime Minister who had made it illegal for children to have birthday parties needed to have his own birthday party?

the80sweregreat · 20/10/2022 21:05

If he did come back and manage to win back round the daily Mail brigade by saying
Lowest unemployment in decades
Got brexit done
Vaccine roll out
Energy crisis bail out was done
I'm not Liz truss or Rishi sunak

Then I believe he really could call a GE and possibly even win it too
I say this as someone who doesn't vote Conservative and I don't want Boris Johnson back.

Those same Tory mp’s seem to want him back now. And the conservative members would have him back in a heartbeat.

The Tory party are a disgrace at the moment.

However Boris is immeasurably popular with the population.
