can’t stand the woman but surely she’ll hold on for a bit longer - everyone was saying Boris would go much earlier than he did. And why on earth did they vote her into power in the first place 🙄

I think it is probably a complaint that Boris Johnson and other like minded travellers have been stirring up hatred and othering people for years which has generate a lot of public division and anger, and really we need a calmer more rational sort of government, which luckily Keir Starmer will soon be providing.

Much more crazy is the fact that Liz Truss moaned about her secondary school and the area she lived in as a teen and the lack of ambition etc etc but those years she was talking about were under a conservative government.

Seriously, the woman is not playing with a full deck!

I'm reading the late Alan Rickmans diaries atm and back in 1994 he is truly anguished about the Major government and Tory sleaze and how much the country was so divided and the lack of aspiration.

It may have escaped the torys notice but we have already been making sacrifices. How many food banks have been created in the last 10 years, how much longer have a&e and operation waits got, how badly have the roads deteriorated? How long have court waits got, what's happened to the divide between rich and poor?
How many new millionaires have been created on the backs of the poor?

We've made sacrifices but instead of getting better the government have fucked the country over and reduced the standard of living for the majority.

Look at Kwartangs mates shorting the pound as the most recent example of what the tories think is acceptable.

They can fuck off with their sacrifices until they start leading by example.

For a start they could vote themselves a reduction in salary-preferably to the average wage- including pensions for shit Prime ministers ASAP.

I am spectacularly angry at this government. Just when you think it can’t get any worse, along comes another shit show.

Make sacrifices? What sacrifices are the government making? I haven’t had a real terms pay increase since 2011. Nearly everything nowadays is shit and quite frankly I feel like lying down in a dark room and never getting up again.

I’m not making any further sacrifices so that some rich people can get richer at my expense.

I am going to end this post because I don’t want to get banned but I am just thinking about all the people RIGHT NOW who are cold and hungry through no fault of their own and I could literally scream with anger. I spent ten hours a few months ago in A&E with an elderly relative who had chest pains. And the government want to further cut the NHS?
