Newspaper reports as scathing as ever, and The Times suggesting Tories are lining up Sunak and Mordaunt as a duo.

can’t stand the woman but surely she’ll hold on for a bit longer - everyone was saying Boris would go much earlier than he did. And why on earth did they vote her into power in the first place 🙄

Brilliant lettuce gag - lest we forget

Didn’t that age well @vera99! 🤣🤣

Totally out of her depth - but who can take her place - I'd bring back Boris and Richie

I think Boris wouldn’t want a back stabber.

I think Rishi has well and truly been rejected. Although it might not have sunk in and he is hoping with time comes forgetfulness.

When the ones voting want Liz Truss over you, the chancellor of the Exchequer you have to question how it came to be.

Whatarubbishusername · 14/10/2022 13:34

We need a general election and a fresh start. We can't go on like this.

Skyellaskerry · 14/10/2022 13:35

@Haffiana yep how she could now claim she wasnt fully in agreement with KKs actions would be unbelievable. Same ideology. And he was her appointment, unsurprisingly with them sharing having the same ideology and vision.

Lonelycrab · 14/10/2022 07:38

She’ll be too stubborn to go

If she loses the support of her party, she’ll have no choice. That’s already in the process of happening now. So yes, shelf life of a lettuce is about right.

Someone on Twitter said it's like Rod Hull sacking Emu!

They just chose her to be their leader. They should not get another go at it, they have proven enough times that they have no one suitable.
Elections are needed, now.
And I just pray that we get a decent opposition, with reasonable proposals, and not only tory versus labour debate. There are more parties out there. I mean the Liberal Democrats, they tend to sound reasonable to me but they seem to have faded away.

Couldn't agree more

Ryder68 · 14/10/2022 13:37

Jeremy Hunt new Chancellor.

Christ almighty, the last person we need is partygate PPE shag-anything-in-a-skirt Boris Johnson! Corrupt as they come!

Well all those who wanted rid of Boris you got what you wished for and you are still not happy

You want a General Election which will either bring back Liz or a Keir and Angela double act and at this point I don’t think there could be much worse.

SleeplessInEngland · 14/10/2022 13:39

Lol, Hunt. He was Sunak's most high profile backer.

Madcats · 14/10/2022 13:39

It might just be a fluke of when I have the radio/TV on but I only seem to be hearing labour commentary from Angela Rayner, Rachel Reeves and Ed Milliband. Have they locked Keir Starmer in a cupboard?

I don't think I've heard him say anything since their conference.

Jeremy Hunt is the new Chancellor, per R4.

SleeplessInEngland · 14/10/2022 13:39

Well all those who wanted rid of Boris you got what you wished for and you are still not happy

BarbaraofSeville · 14/10/2022 13:40
