It’s not exactly new, I have stuff like this that’s years old! TK maxx have always sold items with skulls on them. I’d buy it!

So if the artist doesn't think it has a meaning then it must still have a meaning? They are just unaware of that meaning. Numerous artists in our family and I strongly disagree with that idea. Sometimes it just looks "cool".

That plate is part of the Halloween range and was out on display (certainly in my local TK) well before the Queen passed away.
I guess if you're looking at it the way you are, then it's just unfortunate the Queen passed away and the creators of that plate weren't psychic.

Painter - mostly portraits.
Clothes designer.
More who went to art college and work in related fields.

Personally I think giving every piece of art a hidden meaning is unnecessary and a bit try hard in some cases.

Whatever either of us think this plate doesn't have a hidden meaning beyond the original concept which appears to come from tattoo art. That tattoo art may have a meaning attached to it, but sources seem to disagree what that meaning is, although most seem symbolic.

I think it's safe to say that this isn't a "wish death to the Royal family" plate.

My dad works for Tk maxx and said that they had to take it off sale. It was bought and put in the shops before the Queen died.
