We're currently in dispute with our employer over a 2.5% pay offer. Others in our sector have won 9%

Just wondered what others are getting / requesting

Yes, 5% plus profit sharing. That was in July.

LividLaVidaLoca · 11/10/2022 18:14

As if. Been balloted on strike action where we can lose pay to try and get fair pay. Oh, and get slagged off by everybody impacted at the same time. Bonza.

Radiatorvalves · 11/10/2022 18:15

Fairly specialised. 15% with decent bonus. Conscious this is fairly exceptional.

Workyticket · 11/10/2022 18:16

We're currently in the midst of strike action over it 😫

3% in August

NotTerfNorCis · 11/10/2022 18:18

Yes, got two. I work in IT and wages seem to be rising fast. The second pay rise was probably to bump me up to near market rates. We're hearing stories of people moving jobs or threatening to leave and getting huge raises.

AloysiusBear · 11/10/2022 18:19

In my industry everyone is moving and getting chunky payrises - 10-20%.

Albgo · 11/10/2022 18:20

Yes. 25p an hour.

AloysiusBear · 11/10/2022 18:20

(Me included, i got about 20%)

DashboardConfessional · 11/10/2022 18:20

10% across all the admin team because financial services has been a bit of a shitshow and incredibly busy.

AloysiusBear · 11/10/2022 18:21

Im fully expecting nurses & teachers to strike this winter and with good reason. They aren't paid enough any more. If you pay peanuts you get monkeys.

CatNamedEaster · 11/10/2022 18:22

1% pay rise in Feb so I went for a promotion and got about 12% from that. No way could I have managed on 1%. As it is I feel really lucky to have got the promotion even if most of it is being swallowed up on food and electricity.

I'm a teacher in FE.

Last year we got 1%

OP posts:
BlossomWood · 11/10/2022 18:23

We were offered 2% which got rejected and just had 5% confirmed and backdated to June

MinnieMountain · 11/10/2022 18:26

5% in August. My firm (conveyancers) gave 2-5% to everyone.

Expatting · 11/10/2022 18:27

Nope not even been mentioned. But it's a badly run small business and I will be leaving as soon as I can!

DailyMailHater · 11/10/2022 18:28

Nope not even cost of living and private sector so can’t strike just got to lump it or leave

Ringbling85 · 11/10/2022 18:30

Yes 2.3% in Jan and I have just had another 7%

Chavyrabbit · 11/10/2022 18:30

3% private sector , last year and the year before 0. I'm please with what I get any is a bonus.

Crayfishforyou · 11/10/2022 18:31

I’ve had nothing in two years. 😭

Topgub · 11/10/2022 18:32

There was a 3 % increase last year but they gave on one hand and took away with the other

They've offered 5 this year and the unions have rejected it.

Looking like strike action.

It's not though - anything under the inflation rate is a wage cut!

Darbs76 · 11/10/2022 18:34

Think we got 2% (government): I was actually happy with it as it’s more than we have had in a while but it’s not acceptable. I’m fortunate to have had a promotion so have had a large pay rise and I’m super grateful for that during this cost of living crisis

MrsTerryPratchett · 11/10/2022 18:34

Let's all remember most of these aren't actually 'raises'. If it's less than inflation, it's a pay cut.

Which is where I am and being balloted right now.

somebody2lava · 11/10/2022 18:35

My DH is a private hire coach driver, he got 10%.
