To ask for a handhold I feel so alone

I'm due to have a 6/7 week scan tomorrow after multiple miscarriages (double figures) and I've got period like cramps and bleeding.

I've been bleeding on and off for 2 weeks, no clots.

I feel so alone and I just want to cancel my scan in the morning. Time and time again I've sat in that waiting area, I've had to listen to the "I'm sorry" words, I've had to sit in the family room with a useless leaflet about miscarriage and a box of tissues.

I'm not religious but I could really do with some positive thoughts being put out there for me tonight, I'm not sure I can endure another loss 😢

My dear daughter was married age 32 after 5 years of them being together.
At 39 she still hasn't conceived, Infertility is just so awful. IVF is the next step.
But she's been told she's a bit too old, even for that. She feels bad that she might never make me a grandmother, and she's my only chance.

Of course that matters to me not one jot. Although it would be nice of course.
I just feel so much, for her, not me. It comes just so easy for most people.

It's hard to swallow when it doesn't.

Hi @elm26 have you already been offered/recieved progesterone pessaries? You are eligible for this as you have suffered multiple miscarriages (3+) and have had early bleeding. The research is called the PRISM trial and is now a NICE guideline. Sorry if this is old news to you.

Hope all goes well this morning. I have a six week scan today and I’m feeling very nervous having had six miscarriages. I took a long break from TTC before deciding on IVF and this is my first pregnancy in three years. Sending you love and solidarity 💛

Just found this thread and adding love and good wishes to the pile. You're doing great op and I have so much respect for you persevering after such a rough time ❤️

Praying for you and sending best wishes. I know how hard it is to relax in pregnancy after losses- but a heartbeat and the right growth measurement are great signs. Hope all is well.
