kids wont have a clue what they are, they're hardly going to be scared for life.
it's one of those things where it's not inappropriate to have on the shelf in a shop because anyone too young won't have a clue.

Do your children usually ask for thinks like condoms, nipple clamps and cock lick? otherwise I dont see how you have jumped to the conclusion that this might even happen - these things have always been on sale on the highstreet, its not new.
