To find bananas repulsive?!

Just to be clear, I love the taste of bananas and absolutely love anything banana flavoured or banana based.

but an actual banana? No way. Love the taste. Cannot STAND the texture- it physically repulses me and I can’t even explain why!

I always hate the way they are always wet in the supermarket, you pick them up and they always seem wet and sticky and leave a bad smell on your hands… Why is that I wonder?? 🤔

Other fruits are available. Berries are good, much lower in sugar.

I can eat bananas for about 3 days of their life - anything under/over ripe either side of that and they make me want to vom....

Can't stand them unless barbecued with brandy, brown sugar and cream.

I don’t like them anyway but used to love banana bread.

However

I have had to have a couple of heart scans called t.o.e. Basically they put a probe down your throat as well as ultrasound on your chest so they can view your heart from both sides.

In order to have said scan the back of your throat needs to be numb, and the numbing spray they give you tastes like rotten bananas. And because it numbs your throat it makes you feel like you can’t breathe and so you gag.

The last time I had a t.o.e. My heart was in a bad way, and when I felt I couldn’t breathe I crashed and spent a week in ICU. Just to clarify, it was because of the condition of my heart not the procedure, which is usually done as a day procedure.

But now I have a physical reaction even if I think about bananas.

Nonsense, bananas are literally divine. Can only assume you’re a bunch of atheists.

Also fruit flies love the skin if slightly over ripe 🤢
