Is Liz Truss hiding?

I totally appreciate there's a lot of work to do behind the scenes, but I haven't seen or heard anything of Liz Truss in the news the last few days - please correct me if I'm wrong, as I'm interested in what else she's working on/looking into. At least we'd have had Boris blustering his way through the current economical problem in front of the camera.

Liz Truss's government would have caused the pension companies to go bust this afternoon if the Bank of England hadn't stepped in to save us from our own government and she hasn't said a flipping dickie bird.

Have just readon Twitter a Westminster correspondent quoting a Tory spin doctor literally saying they can't find her!

Kwarteng will have to be booted. Liz thinks she can hide and disassociate from this little ‘fiscal event’ and her involvement will be forgotten when they have to U turn. The BBC news is all scary looking charts with photos of Kwarteng’s face all over.

I said this too about Rishi. Far more competent.

Pippa Crerar tweeted this evening that Truss will be all over the radio & TV doing interviews tomorrow. Be careful what U wish for.

I think she's keeping a low profile so that she can blame the budget on Kwarteng, and then put the proposals on hold till they have done a full Office of Budget Responsibility (OBR) Review. Then Kwarteng will resign and be the fall guy.

She will not win an election.

I don't know who's worse her or Boris. When she came in as PM I was listening to the radio. I'm in central Scotland so it's local radio and a guy with a thick Glasgow accent from paisley area came on and said ' aye I went tae school with Liz. We wur brought up in a really skint area, she needs tae mind where she came fae and dae something to help the country and people out of poverty, she's a paisley lassie through and through'

She's done it to subsidise the energy companies and also to give money to the richest, which is even worse. That's the most shocking part. It's not just the incompetence, it's the callousness.
