Probably won’t be popular but I do.

He was a Tory but a moderate one.

I know some people hold him personally responsible for brexit but I have never subscribed to that view. It was a pressing question that needed answering. I do think he should have done more to show the benefits of being in the EU.

I wish we could have kept him.

If he had listened to Nicola Sturgeon who told him that the referendum should include the proviso that every country in the union should agree to leave before we did leave, then we wouldn't be in this mess. He didn't like her and wouldn't listen to her.

This is true. Or thought to include some requirement for a special majority, or a minimum turnout, made clear that it was only advisory at the time, stated that a second referendum on any deal would be needed before actually leaving. Any of those things could have saved us.

He was hopelessly inept and arrogant, if the truth be told. He didn’t really have the experience to be party leader, never mind PM, he just had confidence, a posh manner, and the press liked him. He gambled with the future of the country because he’d won two referenda already (why have another so soon?), and because he thought “he was a winner”. Idiot.

This was produced in the run-up to the 2010 election. It all came to pass and so much more. We had no idea just how bad he would be and the horror show that his lazy decisions would usher in.

He even managed to destroy his own party, allowing the ERG loons to take over.

I miss the illusion of stability we had prior to Truss and Johnson, yes. Cameron himself is a self-serving architect of disaster.

I miss Gordon Brown, can't we have him back?

I'll never forgive him for Brexit, the OP must be his flippin mum
