Conspiracy about The Queen

My friend has just surprised me with his comments. Thinks The Queen has been in one place after her death and not been ferried around in a coffin for 12 days, because it's all for show and the Royal Family lie!! WTF. I said do you a hundred percent believe that, to which he replied a firm yes! I asked what else he thought they lie about and he couldn't really answer until he said about Princess Diana covering up the identity of Harry's father.

Absoloutely baffled. Changed my opinion of him slightly. I hate conspiracy theories! He's a good friend too.

My DH thought the same tbh. Also that the crown jewels on top were replicas.

As conspiracy theories go, it's pretty mild.

I just think they'd be no reason to do that...and you would think that they would want to grieve in peace so why would they put on a front like that?

Oh fgs, I'm sure they wouldn't have stood vigil over an empty coffin. Also why do people still believe the rumour about Harry's parentage. Diana didn't meet James Hewitt until after Harry was born.

I mean it's not that out there as a theory that it would change my opinion on someone.
If he was saying something like the Queen isn't even dead she just fancied retiring and she's sat at Balmoral watching her funeral on TV - that would be more out there 😆

I agree about Harry rumours , if you look at photos of very young Prince Philip you can see the similarity, also I’m pretty sure Diana’s brother was a bit ginger looking so they obviously have the gene

I heard the claim that the coffin had been empty all along this morning. Seriously, what would the point of that be? Just to lighten the load for the pallbearers? I mean there would at least be a logic to putting a fake crown out there, tight security or not it would have been a risk putting the real one on public display for so long.

I do believe the Harry "conspiracy" though. The claims that he was a couple of years old by the time Hewitt met Diana sound more like a conspiracy theory than it being true.

I think she died before the Platinum Jubilee and they've just wheeled out a lookalike since then. Now is a convenient time for her to "die", so off she pops.

This is the nature of conspiracy. How do you know it wasn't empty? I think the whole lying in state thing was really fucking weird. Parading around a corpse was really fucking weird. Wtf have we done to "death" and ceremonies around dying? 😑

The thing about all these conspiracy theories is "why". That's the bit i struggle with. I mean sure, with the crown etc it may well but they were concerned about all those jewels on display being a target so I could see the thinking in using fakes but in most of these theories, I just don't get it.

I don’t think either of those claims are particularly baffling though?! Whether they’re right or not, they’re a lot easier to believe than some conspiracy claims surely. Not sure what I think about Harry’s parentage but there are plenty of photos showing the comparison with JH so that’s no different to people pointing out the comparison to Prince Philip. Diana was in an unhappy marriage, stranger things have happened!

Does it matter much. I mean the whole thing is full of symbolism. If you are mourning/moved/ in awe etc then the actual body doesn't really matter.

How about the secret love child of Camilla and Charles in Oz who has a court order for Charles' DNA but can't get it. No idea if he's being truthful/ really believes it but either way it's sad for him.

Or wasn't there a disabled family member long forgotten? I can't remember the details though. A grandchild maybe?
