To think the later queuers are just going because of FOMO

I think those queuing this late into it are just there because they are part of the hysteria and just want to go for the sake of it. Sheep basically and it’s nothing to do with the queen.

The two people I know that have paid their respects are basically two of the nicer people in life that I know. That put me in my place when I'd originally been quite judgey in my head about it all...

I'm not sure you can generalise the reasons people have when there are that many people.

Some people on this thread are so disrespectful, regardless of your thoughts on the royals it isn't appropriate to refer to the coffin in that way or call our queen 'Queenie'.

No one can know why people who go at different points are there. If they want to go that's their choice. I don't care why they're there.

@Motorcycleemptyness Holly and Phil had press passes and were recording something. They went past the queue to get to the far end where they were recording something according to the BBC report. And eBay have banned the bracelet selling. The ashes thing...if your mother had recently passed away and had been an ardent royalist who would have queued, I can see why that would happen. In the end, none of it affects you, so why do you care?🤔

I think a lot of people from different parts of the country have gone tonight so they can queue at night but also stay for the funeral tomorrow. Saves making 2 trips or paying for nights in hotels, if they wanted to do both.

My colleague is a committed christian and has gone for her own reasons and am sure she really couldn’t give a toss what other people think ! Am not sure what the point of this thread is TBH !

I’m not a royalist but like the queen. I saw all of the royal family alive at the diamond jubilee with my first son so what’s to be jelous of? I’m not even sure her body is in there if I’m perfectly honest, not that it matters since you aren’t even seeing the queen or even the coffin you are looking at a flag. I just think that the whole thing is ridiculous now. I could respect the intentions of those who rushed there from here there and everywhere in the earlier days but now it’s mostly just tourists and people who want something to post on TikTok, cashing in on wristbands and hoping to see a celebrity. It’s not even a nice quiet experience now they are letting three times the amount into the hall.

@Nameless3 Clearly you don't give a fuck about anyone else and the effect being disrespectful will have on them.

I can appreciate people who aren't observing any of this but I really can't understand people who go out of their way to be disrespectful and generally just unpleasant.

Someone said on a thread recently that this place is becoming worse than the shitshow that is Twitter for nastiness and I think they're right.

Hats off to all those who have queued, for whatever reason, it's not been an easy thing to undertake.

I am wondering that too. The bitterness and spite coming from some threads on here (about the people in London queueing to see the Queen/her coffin,) are quite telling. I do think that (deep down) these posters are a bit miffed and jealous they are not there. They will deny it of course.

I'm watching the live feed and many people going past are in tears. I wish I could have gone. There have been some nasty posts about the queue on here, not sure why.
