To be impressed that Holly and Phil queued to see the Queen

I saw on the news today that they both paid their respects. I know MPs got tickets to jump the queue which is fair enough given how busy they are running the country, but obviously run of the mills celebrities don't get that sort of treatment. We haven't seen many celebrities actually pay tribute given they wouldn't want to queue so long, so I was quite touched to see the picture of them walking through. True British gems.

I wonder if you could buy a priority pass with all the proceeds going to a charity, after all, it can't be pleasant for people like David Beckham to stand in line for some 11 hours. It would also enable other high-profile celebrities to pay their respects to the queen

This can’t be real.

This is top tier trolling 👌

LemonadePockets · 16/09/2022 17:19

David Beckham queued - he went at about 4am, no special side door entrance for him

tryinghardnottocry · 16/09/2022 17:19

They have been doing it at Alton Towers / Disney World but obviously the additional revenue does not go to charity

They are both getting ripped to pieces on their socials at the moment and in my opinion this is well deserved. They have such a superior air about them thinking that they can do as they please because they believe they are adored by the public - hopefully this will bring them back down to earth. They are no better than any of us just because they read an autocue for a couple of hours 4 days a week. I bet their PR teams are working flat out right now putting together some pathetic excuses as to why they queue jumped to release to the press and on socials. They're pathetic!

It's brilliant! Very entertaining thread, hope it sticks around.

Ripped to pieces on SM?

🎻 (lifesize)

Chronicnamechangererer · 16/09/2022 17:37

Eurgh…they’ve been more insufferable than usual this week! Phillip thinks he’s somehow linked to royalty already and always sucks up to them, Holly is not a nice person in real life..at all and they’ve annoyed me putting on ‘Posh’ voices all week. Bring back Ruth & Eamon!

LampLighter414 · 16/09/2022 17:42

But they didn’t queue…

He sounded like he was enjoying himself when he was waiting, making friends with others in the queue, sharing food and drinks.

StoneofDestiny · 16/09/2022 17:49

What a flippin pantomime!

Imagine deciding to queue to see the coffin for whatever reason and turning round and see that David Beckham has joined just behind you.

<misses point of thread>

I thought same😊

Cindefuckingrella · 16/09/2022 18:04

I can vouch for Susanna Reid queuing with everyone else. She was a few people behind me and wasn’t drawing any attention to herself.

vera99 · 16/09/2022 18:09

Theresa May and consort did the Peoples Queue did they not ?

jrt2022 · 16/09/2022 18:09

Not sure why it’s impressive?

WhileMyGuitarGentlyWeeps · 16/09/2022 18:10

You are easily impressed @DonnaBanana David Beckham queued too. Big deal.

Sunnyqueen · 16/09/2022 18:15

They queue jumped didn't they? Poor Liz was probably in there rotating at Holly's fake crying urgh.

Dexterdoo · 16/09/2022 18:20

Top work, OP. These type of posts are long missed.

lindyloo57 · 16/09/2022 18:22

I can't stand them either, I bet they'll make some money out of it, buy selling there stories of how long they queued

Foronenightonly01 · 16/09/2022 18:29

I came on to say “but they didn’t queue!!!….but I can see this is the new ‘cancel the cheque’😂. Totally agree - they should have waited in line like everyone else.

Whatsthepointofmosquitos · 16/09/2022 18:32

It’s almost like they’re TV stars with fading careers who saw a chance to get on prime time TV live to the world 🤔

Once ‘The Queue’ became the lead news story, it became inevitable that a whole lot of familiar B-list faces would appear in it…

Roselilly36 · 16/09/2022 18:33

If it is true, that they used press passes, that is appalling, and why is Holly wearing a mask?

KingstonLane · 16/09/2022 18:34

🤣😂🤣😂 This is the funniest part of the whole post.
