To be impressed that Holly and Phil queued to see the Queen

I saw on the news today that they both paid their respects. I know MPs got tickets to jump the queue which is fair enough given how busy they are running the country, but obviously run of the mills celebrities don't get that sort of treatment. We haven't seen many celebrities actually pay tribute given they wouldn't want to queue so long, so I was quite touched to see the picture of them walking through. True British gems.

Just read that they were filming a tv segment so I guess that’s their excuse. So the segment will probably include footage of them walking through. I guess they question is does it need to? Still seems a bit shitty to me 🤷‍♀️ They don’t generally film out of the studio segments do they? I thought they had the likes of Alison Hammond for that (don’t watch the show so not sure). So it does still seem off.

Holly & Phil had blue/purple lanyards meaning they were working press and did not have to queue. Each of the 650 MPs was issued with 4 guest passes (lanyards) for queue jumping. Commons officials were each issued with 1 guest pass.

I happened to be walking past Westminster Abbey at around 11am this morning and saw them walk past me - they weren't heading for the queue and I assumed they were filming something trenchant for This Morning... Goodness, Phil's tiny in real life!

Executions were very popular in the olden days as a family spectacle though not everyone wanted to see them after seeing them e.g. once.

No TV/social media/films and a few plays/entertainment but hanging was also supposed to be 'good for you' and you were being a good Christian and by bringing kids and family showing them a good example of right/wrong.
