Or will you be doing something else? Perhaps working or just not watch the funeral?

YANBU watch the funeral on tv or in London

YABU not watching for which ever reason

Depends. Will Paddington be there?

SpaceyCake · 13/09/2022 20:29

I didn't realise watching it is a thing. I won't watch it though.

I don't like funerals and don't understand why anyone would watch the funeral of a stranger

My sentiments exactly.

After a relatives funeral recently, I can't image anything worse than choosing to sit through a stranger's.

MintyGreenDreams · 13/09/2022 20:31

I'll watch the actual funeral but not the all day coverage

Prometheus · 13/09/2022 20:31

Nope - making the most of a day off work and school. Hospital appointment first thing then a family bike ride and pub lunch.

ErrolTheDragon · 13/09/2022 20:31

I'll be on holiday on a boat on the broads... I guess we'll be able to see bits later on an iPad but can't imagine we'll try to watch it live.

User642986540 · 13/09/2022 20:31

I shall probably catch bits of it but I will fairly busy to watch too much

Justcallmebebes · 13/09/2022 20:32

Republican leaning myself but of course. Never seen a state funeral. It's history and it's fascinating

AlviarinAesSedai · 13/09/2022 20:34

No, thank goodness for Disney+.

Rutland2022 · 13/09/2022 20:36

I will watch as much as I can live, but will have a 3 year old to occupy so will probably record it to watch properly later.
It depends how much I can find to entertain her with, I don’t imagine it will hold a 3 year olds attention for long!

I love all the pomp and ceremony and it is a hugely historic occasion. I have shed a lot of tears this week as my grandmother is the same age and also fading fast. It’s sad on so many levels.

ILoveAllRainbowsx · 13/09/2022 20:37

I like the RF but I will only be watching the summary on the news.

I never watch weddings or funerals in full except Princess Diana's funeral.

Darbs76 · 13/09/2022 20:37

I’ll be going into London.

justusandmoo · 13/09/2022 20:46

Yea I will most definitely be watching and so will the entire family x

idonotmind · 13/09/2022 20:46

Yes. I want to see all the invitees and what they are wearing

MaryJoLisa · 13/09/2022 20:47

I'll be watching. If they were still here, I'd be watching with my mum and grandmother, both Team Queen when alive, so I shall watch and raise a glass to them all.

faithtrustandpixiedust · 13/09/2022 20:57

Yes I'll be watching, my daughter and I will be going to my nans with mum and sister. It's a hugely historical event and we're all off so of course we're going to watch it.

Willyoujustbequiet · 13/09/2022 20:59

Yes of course. It's literally history in the making.

I wish I was in London tbh.

WanderingFruitWonderer · 13/09/2022 21:02

Yes, I'll definitely watch. Like PPs I'm not a royalist. But I'd feel compelled to watch such a historical event. Unusually I don't have a telly! But providentially I'll be house and animal sitting at the time; so I can snuggle up with the dog and cats, and watch history being made. Most people will watch it, and we'll be talking about it days after. I'd feel left out if I didn't.

RaininSummer · 13/09/2022 21:05

I will be doing anything else but that. Will watch the evening news though.

Wishyfishy · 13/09/2022 21:06

I’m not interested in it as a funeral. I am interested to see so many hundreds of heads of state together in one place. It will be a fascinating event.

Not loads to do with DC off that day anyway. All the normal places I’d think to take them will be shut. I’ll happily have it on in the background.

feellikeanalien · 13/09/2022 21:06

I'll try and watch some of it. Not a royalist but as another pp said "history innit".

I won't watch it on the TV as DD finds funerals very upsetting having lost her Dad and both her grandparents over the last two years. Not sure that I'll be able to watch all of it either. I've been very teary watching some of the coverage on TV which really surprised me. Think that losing three people who were so close to me in fairly quick succession, having a significant birthday and feeling that the queen's death is the end of an era has made me feel rather sad and nostalgic.

Onesailwait · 13/09/2022 21:06

It's on at 3am my time. I will definitely record it to watch later in the day with the kids after school

onlythreenow · 13/09/2022 21:07

I will probably watch it - even though it will be the middle of the night here!!

Samcro · 13/09/2022 21:07

We will watch it

AlwaysGinPlease · 13/09/2022 21:08

I will be watching.
