Games console, designer clothes, flashy car. We aren't short of money but choose to save hard with a view to quitting work sooner!

Having two is perfect. When one is full, I put it on to wash the dishes, then over the next week I take out what I need, use it, and put it into the empty one. Eventually everything will be dirty and in the other dishwasher, so I put that one on and repeat the process. It's a bit like a funicular railway, but with dirty dishes.

They feel more like cupboards which also do the washing up than dishwashers.

Can't tell if you're joking or not here @BadLad but either way it's.... genius!

Tumble dryer

alrightfella · 09/09/2022 08:12

A hot tub I just find them grim, it feels like sitting in a bath with other people. I always try and avoid them but it's become more difficult with the amount of friends who now have them in gardens.

Wexone · 09/09/2022 08:13

Alexa
Hot Tub
Smart Watch

A dishwasher is far more economical cost wise plus also more hygienic. Using your dishwasher every night versus 10 mins of washing up by hand will save 100 gallons of water a week. It also uses far less energy. Might be worth thinking given the rises in cost we are going to get.

TinyTear · 09/09/2022 08:16

This is one of the most cringy, performative threads I’ve ever seen.

A reminder: not liking popular things is no substitute for having a personality.

Yip. Like the cringefest 'unpopular opinions' threads where posters think they've smashed the system because they don't say 'hollibobs'.

cormorant5 · 09/09/2022 08:23

No Subscription tv
No duvets. We prefer blankets and sheets.

Freezer and microwave. I did have both once, but they were never used so when we moved I got rid of them.

evilharpy · 09/09/2022 08:25

Matching set of pots and pans. Ours are a cobbled together mishmash of pans I like. May rethink this now we have to live with an electric cooker that can't cope with a proper wok.

Coffee machine, as much as I love coffee, because the aeropress is just too good and requires no maintenance.

Sparklingbrook · 09/09/2022 00:00

Some of these things are just practical and make your life easier. You don't have to have an 'interest' in sunglasses but they are very useful for keeping the sun out of your eyes. Grin

Maybe they only go outside after dark Grin

Joking apart, not wearing sunglasses on a sunny day is a health issue. Wearing them reduces the risk of cataracts later in life and reduces the risk of eye cancer.
