Just posting to say I feel so sad and tearful, not really a royalist but I still feel that she has been the steadfast protector of our country though. She didn’t ask to be born into royalty but nevertheless stepped up and devoted her life to our country.

My heart jumped as Huw said "I have to interrupt you as we've got a dreadful.......microphone problem"

Yet not one official confirmation.

Blimey... Huw Edwards interrupted the guy in Downing Street and said "We have dreadful..." I thought he was going to say "dreadful news" .. He said "dreadful trouble with your microphone"....

They don't need a 'green light.' When Prince Philip died they just interrupted programmes with the announcement.

really sad to hear the news today that she is so poorly though I did think she looked quite frail in the photos on Tuesday with Liz Truss. What an inspirational woman it will be a sad day when we lose her as queen....

I hope that timeline isn't true, because I'd like to think her family have got there in time to see her.

I suppose we'll find out at some point.
