so the MSM is trying to feed you a narrative, yet the conspiracy websites you’re using are trustworthy….why?
Because the information they’re cherry picking to present to you appeal to your implicit biases, and therefore it makes sense to you that it’s all part of this specific master plan. This specific master plan that’s supposedly coming into fruition…when? It’s not like there haven’t been 100 dates that have came and went, either for the ‘Great Reset’, or for ‘Trump’s Victory’ that Q Anon was promising would happen. Goalposts keep getting changed though, don’t they? Theres always some nebulous (if not nefarious) reason to keep pushing it back. ‘Trust’ the plan indeed. Save the mistrust and scrutiny for the ‘MSM’, but blindly follow the internet truth tellers of dubious motive and origin.
When A occurs in conjunction with B, it can mean C. It can also mean D, E, F, G, H, I, J and so on. You’re choosing to believe it means C, because that’s the one that most appeals to you. You’re also choosing to accept information that reinforces that line of thinking, provided by people who explicitly want to do just that. It’s an easy way to dismiss actual evidence too, evidence that is provided by research correctly conducted, because when something doesn’t suit your narrative you can just wave it away as ‘that’s what they want you to think’.
Disinformation campaigns are nothing new. The Soviets set up an office dedicated to formulating and disseminating it back in the 1920s. See, when it comes to conquest there’s nothing that will quite unite a peoples like an outside aggressor. Sowing the seeds to break people apart and exploit the cracks? That comes from the inside. Before the internet the capabilities of disinformation campaigns were comparatively, and significantly, limited. Now? the world is the proverbial oyster. Covid was a fairly easy one to work with, because people don’t like the unknown, and they don’t like chaos. They will readily look for, and latch onto, anything and anyone that claims to be able to make sense of it.
It also appeals to human ego, and the desire to be special and distinct from the ‘sheep’. Like belonging to a special little club, you get the pleasure of thinking you’re more intelligent than the brainwashed masses, more enlightened. Which is ironic really, because the glow you’re basking in simultaneously prevents you from seeing how much you’re actually being taken for a fool. Point that out though and that’s when the persecution complex kicks in, isn’t it? You’re being picked on because you’re the only one strong and brave enough to tell the truth, everyone else is stupid and they’ll see! One day! Maybe! Because of course it couldn’t be that you’re, you know….
Wrong.
