DH has completely changed

My DH has completely altered his worldview/ opinion over the last few years. It was gradual, and only now am I coming to realise the full extent of it. We've been together for 15 years.

He believes in the great reset, believes there will be a nuclear war, covid is a hoax and the vaccines are killing people. He's stockpiled around £3k worth of food/ camping equipment/ knives. Our spare room is full of this stuff. He's also invested thousands into cryptocurrency.

He believes that inflation is all part of the "plan" and all the world leaders are "in on it" together.

I can't take it anymore. He disrespects my opinion by continuing to talk about it daily, even when I've expressed that I do not share the same opinion and don't want to argue about it. He tells me that "I will see when the time comes."

Every time there's news of a celebrity death/ unexplained death of a young person, he blames the covid vaccine. He threatened to leave me if I got it, although changed his mind when I made clear how serious I was.

Aibu to feel at the end of my tether? It's so draining.

No one here is really interested as stated their limits are Bennifer.

It's not hard to join the dots but 90pc of the posters on here will like a rabbit in the headlights over the next ten years wondering WTF just happened.

Re: vaccines. Yes they have provided great advances but the trust has been hijacked in the last few years to rush out ones where the cure was often worse than the disease. Why wasn't it targeted at vulnerable persons but instead pushed at everyone with regards of losing livelihoods etc. Why was it pushed at kids?

Even previous supporters have now changed their mind on it.

But I am interested and I keep saying that. Please, can you tell me what backs this claim up? I haven't been able to find any evidence that supports your statement that 'the cure was often worse than the disease'. You seem very confident. Why won't you share your sources? How do you expect to have people take you seriously if you refuse?

To answer the above question…The vaccine was ‘pushed’ at everyone because that is how vaccine programmes work. Some people are unable to be vaccinated. But if enough people are vaccinated, it controls and slows the spread.

there has been a lot of debate about kids being vaccinated. While kids rarely had complications from covid -19, schools were identified as places where the infection was able to spread, putting clinically vulnerable people with school aged kids at risk.

Cheers justasking as I say it's all out there. Not hard to find bit of course it will just be poo-pooed on here as its not MSM approved newspeak.

If it's all out there why not provide one simple link?! I honestly can't understand.

I am open minded. I should be the target audience for anything outside 'MSM' narrative but not a single person I've asked who shares your position is willing to share a single link with me.

It's such a shame and so disappointing. And frustrating. And undermines your point that the overarching narrative we are exposed to is false. Because you won't shine a light on what you claim is the truth, despite saying it's easily accessible and everywhere.

If it's so easily accessible then sharing it is a job done in a few clicks.

You really won't share even one source with some evidence?

What part of it is bullshit?

And again - why are you so reluctant to post some links so that we can go directly to the "not hard to find" evidence that you have found so compelling? As my mother would have said - 'put up or shut up'.

All of it. The bullshit that the MSM trotted out at the time to make you believe that was in any way a valid response. But you of course suck it up as it's from a "valid source"

I have loads of bookmarks but I am on holiday on mobile so don't have them to hand. All the link, link link brigade are like broken records though.

Here's something I had in notes though from some of your "valid sources"...

"UK Gov. quietly published a report confirming the Vaccinated account for 94% of all COVID-19 Deaths since April, 90% of which were Triple/Quadruple Jabbed'
Government of Canada figures show that there were 521 Covid-19 deaths between 6th -12th June, and the vaccinated population accounted for 485 of them (93%), 242 deaths among quadruple vaccinated."

Most of the data can be easily found if you look beyond the Biased Broadcasting Company or similar.

I might post more examples, I might not, it's a pretty pointless exercise to be honest. Same as posting here.

loginsaredicks · 24/08/2022 19:39

Ps - it will all come out eventually anyway. Sadly by which time it will be ancient history that will be brushed under the carpet. However in the meantime, the Government had broken the social contact with the ones that are awakened and we won't forgive and we won't forget.

What is it you think those figures are showing though?

That the vaccine doesnt work?

Of course the vast majority of people who die from covid are vaccinated. We have a high vaccination rate in this country and the vast majority of the ones who are vaccinated are an overlap (very overlapped) cohort with those at highest risk of death from covid. ie old/vulnerable/already ill.

wellhelloitsme · 24/08/2022 19:54

You said they were easily accessible and that people could Google.

It's just weird you can't do so and share links even though you know what you're looking for!

UK Gov. quietly published a report confirming the Vaccinated account for 94% of all COVID-19 Deaths since April, 90% of which were Triple/Quadruple Jabbed

Can you explain in your own words what this means as regards the vaccine? Because that data doesn't support what you seem to think it does.

Most people are vaccinated and they are more likely to be vaccinated if they are elderly or medically vulnerable. The elderly and medically vulnerable are more likely to die than the rest of the population in general as well as more likely to die from covid symptoms. Vaccines has never been claimed to be 100% effective.

So finding that such high numbers of those who died from covid have also been vaccinated isn't surprising, surely? It means it makes sense there are more deaths in vaccinated people than unvaccinated. That's how statistics work.

If you look at the graph attached, you'll see that when age standardised mortality rates are taken into account (as they would be in literally any peer reviewed scientific research piece, not just in MSM news) in the specific ONS study you reference gov.uk 'quietly releasing', people are in fact more likely to die if they are unvaccinated when it comes to Covid-19 deaths.

None of that is my opinion, it's data.

Ah the other MSM stalwart. Yes they did a good job getting some of these excuses out to try and.cover their arses.

I don't remember people who took the Polio vaccine still getting it multiple times or still dying from it. I would also suggest a vaccine that lasts for a few months is also a pretty shitty vaccine.

so the MSM is trying to feed you a narrative, yet the conspiracy websites you’re using are trustworthy….why?

Because the information they’re cherry picking to present to you appeal to your implicit biases, and therefore it makes sense to you that it’s all part of this specific master plan. This specific master plan that’s supposedly coming into fruition…when? It’s not like there haven’t been 100 dates that have came and went, either for the ‘Great Reset’, or for ‘Trump’s Victory’ that Q Anon was promising would happen. Goalposts keep getting changed though, don’t they? Theres always some nebulous (if not nefarious) reason to keep pushing it back. ‘Trust’ the plan indeed. Save the mistrust and scrutiny for the ‘MSM’, but blindly follow the internet truth tellers of dubious motive and origin.

When A occurs in conjunction with B, it can mean C. It can also mean D, E, F, G, H, I, J and so on. You’re choosing to believe it means C, because that’s the one that most appeals to you. You’re also choosing to accept information that reinforces that line of thinking, provided by people who explicitly want to do just that. It’s an easy way to dismiss actual evidence too, evidence that is provided by research correctly conducted, because when something doesn’t suit your narrative you can just wave it away as ‘that’s what they want you to think’.

Disinformation campaigns are nothing new. The Soviets set up an office dedicated to formulating and disseminating it back in the 1920s. See, when it comes to conquest there’s nothing that will quite unite a peoples like an outside aggressor. Sowing the seeds to break people apart and exploit the cracks? That comes from the inside. Before the internet the capabilities of disinformation campaigns were comparatively, and significantly, limited. Now? the world is the proverbial oyster. Covid was a fairly easy one to work with, because people don’t like the unknown, and they don’t like chaos. They will readily look for, and latch onto, anything and anyone that claims to be able to make sense of it.

It also appeals to human ego, and the desire to be special and distinct from the ‘sheep’. Like belonging to a special little club, you get the pleasure of thinking you’re more intelligent than the brainwashed masses, more enlightened. Which is ironic really, because the glow you’re basking in simultaneously prevents you from seeing how much you’re actually being taken for a fool. Point that out though and that’s when the persecution complex kicks in, isn’t it? You’re being picked on because you’re the only one strong and brave enough to tell the truth, everyone else is stupid and they’ll see! One day! Maybe! Because of course it couldn’t be that you’re, you know….

Wrong.

🙂

wellhelloitsme · 24/08/2022 20:04

I'm going to give that BMJ link a read @loginsaredicks so I'm not sure why you're doing the sarcy 'enjoy your resent' flounce when people have said they'll look at links you share with an open mind and that's the only one you've shared so far!

People scrutinised the data you shared separately and explained why, in statistical (not emotional or invested) terms, it doesn't support what you seem to think it does. Your response is to say the critical thinking applied to the data you shared is due to people believing excuses in the MSM etc.

You've given no actual response to people's statistical reading of the statistics you shared. It makes me assume that you don't understand how the statistics work and instead have been told that that data set supports your belief instead of doing the next step you'd do if you were genuinely curious and open minded, and going through the data set to understand it and weigh up if it does or doesn't statistically support what your sources claim it does.

Its not an excuse its just fact?

The covid vaccine was not designed that you never catch it, or that if you catch you dont die from it. It just lowers the risk of those things.

Im sorry you're really caught up in this, there might not be a way out for you but you're not convincing anyone.

Id like to know how many resets there have been

What about all the asassinations throughout history, the various epidemics over centuries, the government overthrows, the wars.

Its endless, there must be a bloody reset every decade!!!

Wallaw · 24/08/2022 20:19

@loginsaredicks

I haven't had time to really read the link as we're just about to eat, but a quick glance seems to show that it's a letter to the BMJ in response to a letter that was in response to two different studies with very different conclusions. I would like to note that the author of the first letter (not the one linked to, states no conflicts of interest). The authors of the one you did link to state

Competing interests: ST and AM have provided paid advice to Auckland International Airport Ltd related to health risks associated with covid-19.

Not saying that makes it necessarily wrong, but since we've been talking about vetting sources, they do have a vested interest.

There was a really good chart- almost like a Venn diagram that showed the point @wellhelloitsme's chart is making in a very simplified version.

Wallaw · 24/08/2022 20:23

And to add, the NHS is now recommending polio vaxx boosters for children in certain age ranges, and my doctor is recommending a tetanus booster (contains a polio booster) for anyone who's travelling, so there's some concern about the longevity of polio vaccines.

Jewel1968 · 24/08/2022 20:36

Conspiracies can be intriguing and get you thinking. There are things that have happened in the past that we now know to be true but at the time were probably minimised e.g Saville. There are things that are going on now that I would not be surprised if in 50years time it was revealed that actually strange stuff did happen e.g what did happen in that tunnel when Diana"s car crashed.

But what gets me is the absolute certainty those I know exhibit when talking about current conspiracy theories. There is no doubt, no uncertainty just absolute conviction that X or Y is true. That I cannot understand. How do they know what they hear or read is true. How do any of us know? Even when things make sense to me I know that I can't be sure because there are those out there benefiting from me believing X or Y.

Cornettoninja · 24/08/2022 20:41

@loginsaredicks

I don't remember people who took the Polio vaccine still getting it multiple times or still dying from it

the polio vaccine is 99-100% effective against paralytic polio. A lot of vaccines aren’t 100% effective or sterilising but they work when there’s a large percentage of the population vaccinated.

I would also suggest a vaccine that lasts for a few months is also a pretty shitty vaccine

well then you’re expectations are unrealistic. Are the covid vaccines perfect? No. Are the covid vaccines the best defence we have right now. Yes. Again we’re back to unrealistic expectations, why would you think that a vaccine can be invented, tested and produced in under a year and be 100% perfect? We’re using medicine and science, not magic.

Ps for the link fetishists. Just a random BMJ one

I’ve a million links saved but I know I can find what I need again when I need to because I have the vaguest notion of what it is I’m looking for. Do you know what? Maybe that’s why your struggling to come up with much.

The middle ages (assuming you meant medieval) were only shit for certain people.
