To ask if you've ever found a long lasting baking tray

Please help - we go through so many non stick trays. Our 1 year old le creuset ones (bought in the false hope that expense = durability) are on their way out, despite never having seen a metal implement or the dishwasher as per instructions.

YABU give you hope now

YANBU yes, of course they exist, here's my recommendation..

Yet to find one but would have been hopeful with le creuset, as their other bits are usually good quality. Sorry to hear that.

Lakeland plastics heavy duty ones- not forever, but had a good 6 years plus (and I do shove them in the dishwasher)

Yes, Lakeland. The really solid one

SavBbunny · 16/08/2022 19:44

James Martin Stellar. Had one a year. Goes in the dishwasher. Aga I have had 20 years (about £65!).

loosebutton · 16/08/2022 19:45

Tesco cheap ones

Afterfire · 16/08/2022 19:46

Stoville ones. You can get them in asda and Dunelm. They’re amazing and you can just bung them in the dishwasher.

sittingonacornflake · 16/08/2022 19:47

Scoville never stick.

Roselilly36 · 16/08/2022 19:47

Non stick trays are rubbish, buy enamel trays, they last for years.

Zingy123 · 16/08/2022 19:47

Pyrex glass ones.

Blablasheep · 16/08/2022 19:47

Buy an enamel baking tray, it will last forever.
It's a bit "old fashioned" and it existed long before all this non stick rubbish! Obviously you'll need to use oil/grease but it's so worth it.

I have a set of black Tala baking trays. Had them over 12 months now and they seem to be doing okay.

I agree most types are rubbish and don't last long.

Blackdiame · 16/08/2022 19:49

Cheap sainsburys ones. I've had mine for 13 years.

JaceLancs · 16/08/2022 19:49

Circulon the more expensive range that they do
Ive had mine over 10 years now
the matching pans are nearly 20 years old

StatisticallyChallenged · 16/08/2022 19:50

Pyrex glass ones here too

Meatshake · 16/08/2022 19:50

IKEA stainless steel jobbies, going on 6 years and a quick dunk in the oven cleaners tank brings them up looking brand new.

Johnnysgirl · 16/08/2022 19:51

Another vote for Lakeland.

FOJN · 16/08/2022 19:55

I bought a set of two from Costco 12 years ago and both are still nonstick and going strong. They never buckle in the oven even at the highest temperature. I have always washed them by hand. I can't say whether they are still available.

Silverwood is a brilliant brand of cookware, I have one of their cake tins and that still looks like new (about 10 or 12 years old) and they are completely nonstick.

You could use a silicon mat in your le crueset if the pan is still solid but the nonstick is no longer working. You can buy rolls of silicon to cut to size.

MangoBiscuit · 16/08/2022 19:55

I bought enamel ones over 15 years ago, from Tesco Home, when that was still a thing. They aren't none stick, but they wash very easily, and I have silicon sheets for them if non-stick is essential. They bloody good backing trays. So good that ExH tried to pinch them when we divorced. Cheeky git.

I would recommend a sturdy tray, but silicon sheets. Makes for a very easy clean up.

WoodlandWalks123 · 16/08/2022 19:55

OP YANBU and I have same issues (especially when in laws cook at my house) but the Pyrex ones look brilliant - I will be buying some!

Shesellsseashellsontheseashore · 16/08/2022 19:56

Another vote for scoville never stick. Some are on offer in Asda at the moment, online and probably instore. The woks and pans etc are also brilliant.

hollyivysaurus · 16/08/2022 19:57

Pyrex glass! We’ve just bought some and they’re a revelation!

CornishTiger · 16/08/2022 19:57

Also trialling the scoville ones at the mo.

ParvuliThankYouDebbie · 16/08/2022 19:57

Pyrex and Aga had for donkeys years
