To say this to people who complain about vaping?

You do realise that if we weren't vaping, we'd be smoking cigarettes, right?

In light of this, why should vapes be banned?

I’m not offended by it but I wouldn’t think it’s the healthier choice opposed to smoking, necessarily. Still chemicals. And you could argue the unknown is worse. It seems to be rising in popularity though

However, I absolutely hate it when I am engulfed in a cloud of bubblegum flavour/strawberry muffin flavour/whatever other artificial concoction is being blown around.

If you want to potentially destroy your lungs in the privacy of your own home, go for it. It does set a terrible example for younger people in your home, though.

Not the same as a ciggie, because you don't get the satisfying crackle of paper burn and the proper smell of combustion. If I'm going to knacker my lungs I prefer to enjoy the process to the full.

It would be nice not to have any chemicals breathed over me. Both cigarette smoke and vape smoke give me a nasty headache.

You do realise that it would have been perfectly possible to construct nicotine delivery devices that work without emissions? Manufacturers actually contemplated this when e-cigarettes were first designed, but decided it would be easier to win over smokers by keeping them as close as possible to the smokey kind. Well thats massively backfired - e-cigarettes as they were in the event introduced to the market don't just smell, but have also been found to create passive smoking risks in their own right. So don't bitch at regulation but maybe lobby manufacturers to go back to the drawing board.

I dont care if people smoke or vape

But vapping can cause all sorts of lung issues and i dont particular want vape steam or cigarette smoke in my face

Actually vaping is worse to be around, the smoke travels more and is definitely more unpresent to be around.

Well you could always not vape or smoke, like most people manage to do. It's not a question of one or the other, you can go with neither.

Smoke or vape, do whatever you want. I prefer vaping as a non smoker because some smell great, but do what you want, I don't like smoking because I don't smoke, but oh someone does smoke and enjoys it, then great, just crack on enjoying life

Vapers gonna vape. It won't be banned anytime soon, it is too good a NRT. It is far safer than cigarettes for the user. I am neither a smoker nor a vaper but I am glad to see that science and innovation have brought a great product to the market that will save the lives of many people who manage to stop smoking. Very few people stop smoking with nicotine patches and the like, it is the hand to mouth habit that is replaced with vapes and it works.

Vapes do contain nicotine in them, though.

I vape. I use a nord2 refillable. I use coils that don’t produce large clouds and as it is refillable the only waste I have is empty plastic bottles and spent metal coils both of which are recyclable.

Plenty of people do things I don’t do or particularly like. I don’t drink, I don’t eat sugar, drink soda or eat junk food. I don’t douse myself in heavy perfumes and scents. I don’t put plastic over my nails and paint them toxic substances but I also don’t complain and moan if others do.
