Do you fancy Jarvis Cocker?

I know I'm not alone.

From the moment I first saw him when Common People came out, and he was staring into my soul on Top of the Pops. His voice, his sass, his talent. Even today, I have fancied him since he appeared and still do.

Anyone else?

Nope, never did. I can see why other people might, but I prefer a chunky rugby player’s physique myself. I did love their music though.

Me too! And that's exactly why I find it weird just how much I love him and always have.

I loved him in my 20s but more his persona than fancying him.

I saw him getting off a train at Euston not long ago. He's very tall with a real 'presence' he had an old fashioned Paddington bear type suitcase which was very Pulp.

fuckwhatshouldido · 13/08/2022 10:46

He looks very much like my dad so I find him totally unfanciable 😆 i did like a skinny pale indie boy during my teens though so I get your point OP…not my type now though, I like my blokes much bigger and broader these days! Fave celeb now is Daveed Diggs (who actually does look quite similar to my super hot DP 😋), yum.

fuckwhatshouldido · 13/08/2022 10:47

I did see Pulp a few years back though and they were pretty fabulous live, Jarvis does have a LOT of presence and charisma for a bloke who looks like a supply geography teacher

Ooh, this takes me right back to my late teens. I had this most delicious poster of Jarvis on my wall.
He was my hero at the Brits when he pulled a moonie at Michael Jackson.

Yes he is very very cute and JC is not my usual type at all and my husband is more like your picks than JC.

God yeah. Have always had a weakness for skinny intellectual looking outsider types

We watched that live at the time and found it the most hilarious thing ever. When he ran away too being chased.

I think he's ageing rather nicely. I love his voice whenever he's on the radio.

Sparklingbrook · 13/08/2022 10:55

I also love Jeff Bridges and Olly Alexander.

No to Jeff and Olly seems really annoying. I can’t forgive him and Elton for that It’s a Sin travesty either.

Spidey66 · 13/08/2022 10:57

Jarvis Cocker is my hero.

We were on holiday in Cornwall and in Truro there was an art shop/gallery, the artist running it did portraits. There was a box with pictures he'd done of various singers. I flicked through it, hoping against hope....but the last one was my hero! Its a recent one, so not one of him in the 90s. Jarvis commissioned it and the original is in his house and now a copy is in my hall.

Nope. I love the music (still listen to it) and saw them live in the 90s, but never fancied him.

Oh yes!! Not my type at all looks wise, but I find him so sexy.
As another pp said - I bet he would be amazing in bed!

Nooooooo, too cocky for my liking.

He's actually a really lovely man. I've met him quite a few times socially and he really isn't cocky in real life.

PenOrPencil · 13/08/2022 11:08

I used to, he has the sexiest voice. Have you listened to his recent-ish album in French? That was awful. 😕

Sparklingbrook · 13/08/2022 11:08

This was the era when he had a certain something, but not for me any more. He looks a bit like Vic Reeves now. Good job we didn't get married. Grin

PTB at Glastonbury this year, Olly helped sing with them, but when it came to It's a Sin Neil Tennant took the mic back and I thought "yes, good call."

Love PTB! Dad said 'why is Nosferatu at Glastonbury?'
