... to think you wouldn't touch Ryan Giggs with a bargepole?

"Giggs found love again with lingerie model, Zara Charles, 33, who has 'supported' him through the charges."

I don't want to get into the legalities of the ongoing case, but what normal woman would knowingly get involved with the likes of him?

Women write to murders and rapists in prison, then start relationships with them. Nothing surprises me.

exactly

giffyg · 10/08/2022 08:16

I've seen him out and about with his latest girlfriend- he's pretty much head down but she has huge look-at-me-and-who-I'm-with energy - I've never seen anything like it! I've literally never seen anyone seek so much attention ever. It was fairy recently so after the court case was announced (if you needed that extra with his track record prior to that).

I don't get it, if my new boyfriend (that I was having an affair with) was in court for domestic abuse even if I believed the sob stories I'd be super embarrassed & struggle to "show" my support. Some people thrive on any attention I guess.

giffyg · 10/08/2022 08:24

Lots of women with low standards of expected behaviour in men but hugely expensive shopping and lifestyle habits!!

yep & always identikit fake lips, boobs etc.

MarshaMelrose · 10/08/2022 02:44

@Tiani4
So I hope people let the courts deal with this before anyone denigrates a potentially abused woman or anyone decides RG is guilty without trial and a fair hearing

Giggs is guilty of being a lying, cheating shitbag. He took out a superinjunction to cover up the fact that he'd been having an 8 yr affair with his brother's wife. He cheated on his wife multiple times. Then when he persuaded his wife to stay in the marriage, he immediately entered into another affair behind his wife's back with the woman who's accusing him of assault.
It's immaterial whether he's found guilty or not. He's long since been found guilty in the court of public opinion of being a scummy scuzzball. This case just reveals more facts that confirm just how scuzzy he is. Ugh.

Exactly

Movinghouseatlast · 10/08/2022 14:42

I think he's probably a narcissist. My dad was and so was an ex boyfriend. They are very hard to resist, very charming and they can convince you that black is white.

As an intelligent woman who was taken in by one I can confidently say it wasn't my fault.

RebOrHon · 10/08/2022 19:58

Daw nailed Greville with us first 3 questions. She’s tied herself up in knots all day. Surely, it’s not a coincidence that she too dropped her phone in water?
if this is the best evidence the prosecution can muster, the bar must be set pretty low when deciding g to prosecute. That or the GMP & CPS are all City fans. 🤔

Boybandfacedfannyfart · 10/08/2022 20:01

Your misogyny is showing.

And an STD clinic on standby.

Best response ever. 👏

Mangogogogo · 10/08/2022 20:05

She is special. He won’t do it to her.

LOL

Movinghouseatlast · 10/08/2022 20:11

I actually don't think this is what people think. Having been in her situation with a serial shagger narcissist I think it's more you think THEY are special, you get taken in by them and their lies.

Man serially abuses a number of women.

All the LOLZ.

grayhairdontcare · 10/08/2022 20:46

Because she likes money more than self respect?!

I read a bit of her cross examination. It didn't sound good, although after Depps trial I'm a bit 🤨 at the reporting in papers. But he has confirmed that he was cheating behind his wife's back yet again. So he regardless of him winning or losing, all these new reveals just make him scuzzier than ever. His poor kids having to listen to taunts about handcuffs and paddles. Ugh.

Bouledeneige · 10/08/2022 21:30

It is astonishing and very depressing that women would queue up to be with him after his track record. He's the lowest of the low - not just a serial cheater but something very dark. Money and celebrity clearly gives him so much opportunity to repeat himself. He has a personality defect that hides behind apparently being a womaniser with a deep hatred for women that comes out in controlling abuse and violence. It's very dangerous and psychopathic. No empathy.

I hope he gets sent down and learns he can't act with impunity and destroy womens lives.

Clarabe1 · 10/08/2022 21:41

no self respecting woman would go near him. I am sure he picks his girlfriends very carefully, big tits and lack of brains and self worth. Horrid man

MacKenzieMcHale · 10/08/2022 22:10

Any abused woman reading this thread is really feeling the empathy right now, I'm sure.

WGACA · 10/08/2022 22:40

The poor kids. Apparently his daughter found a valentines card from her whilst he was still married to her mother.

flapjackfairy · 09/08/2022 13:47

his own parents dont have anything to do with him because of what happened with his brothers wife. He doesn't seem to have even genuinely apologised for it !
Imagine being the brother who has lived in his shadow all.your life to then watch him destroy your marriage for good measure.
I saw a quote from his Dad when Giggs was made Wales manager that said he should've had his brothers back not be stabbing him in it which put it rather well.

Not true their mum and most of the family took Ryan’s side after the affair came out.

Well I hope they read the supportive posts and filler the others. Because it's easy to be smug. Much less easy to avoid abusive manipulative men when your life is all abusive manipulative men.

People have no bloody idea.

MacKenzieMcHale · 11/08/2022 07:28

I hope so too @MrsTerryPratchett but it must be awful to see yourself characterised in some of these ways.

ImJustMadAboutSaffron · 11/08/2022 07:31

I find it hard to believe that Stacey Cooke, Imogen Thomas, Kate Greville for starters, especially Stacey, all had low self-esteem or had been abused before getting entangled with Ryan Giggs. We don't know that but Stacey in particular strikes me as sensible as she Left The Bastard. Put the blame where it belongs, firmly on him.

I started this asking what Zara Charles was doing with him knowing his track record.

And he has a teenage daughter, Liberty. I dread to think of her views of her creepy father.

YANBU although regardless of the current legal case I don't understand why anyone, ever, would have "touched Ryan Giggs with a bargepole." Even in the 1990s he came across as a "unique" individual who stood out in a negative light even in the oddball world of professional footballers.

A bit like with Jimmy Savile, the first time I saw him on TV I was aware that there was something not right. I stress that I'm not suggesting Giggs has done anything comparable to Savile, it's just that he gives off a certain "vibe" that would make me want to avoid him at all costs and that when the allegations came out there was no surprise at them.

Until the whole thing came out about the super injunction and his brother’s sister all I had heard was really good things.

Played for Wales rather than England, even though he could have played for both and got much more glory playing for England (back in the day, before Wales were as good) all because of loyalty to his Mother. That’s all I knew about him, and he came across really well from it.

MacKenzieMcHale · 11/08/2022 07:58

Well if you find it hard to believe then I guess it's an open and shut case.

Utter nonsense. Giggs was born in Wales, to Welsh parents (both, btw, so 'loyalty to his mother' is especially baffling) and he wasn't eligible to play for England - certainly at the time he first began to play internationally, and even then once the rules changed, precisely because he'd already played for Wales. Super-fucking-weird, at any rate, to infer that he's a good bloke based on that ^ even if it were true.

PerfectRun · 11/08/2022 08:17

Hopefully she's seen an opportunity to make loads of money from the divorce and has herself well protected.
