I stayed in an AirBnB here last year, good location but that price is mental.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 24/07/2022 00:16

I loved the plunge bath!

Gingersay · 24/07/2022 00:22

It reminds me of a flat my uni friends stayed in for a while, no carpets and mish mash furniture out a skip.

TastelessMiserySand · 24/07/2022 08:14

I actually like the look of it, but agree it needs to be for someone with a childfree life. It looks like a nightclub.
And I also used to live nearby in Russell Sq...next door to a brothel! (Although that was almost 20 years ago)

UmbaRumba · 24/07/2022 08:24

Emperors new clothes springs to mind

I loved the plunge bath!

I thought it looked like a mini version of the baths that used to be in football/rugby changing rooms.

and then had visions of swingers parties…

mjf981 · 24/07/2022 12:18

Cuckoo land price. Madness.
Can someone track this and let us know if it sells?!

Coastalcreeksider · 24/07/2022 12:20

Too dark and overlooked for me. Even if I had that kind of money to spend I'd want something much nicer than this.

whenindoubtgotothelibrary · 24/07/2022 12:25

The sales particulars are awful - multiple pictures of the same beds and pillows, no floor plan and a general impression of darkness, being overlooked, crap views from the (not very many) windows and several unfinished areas. Not tempting at half the price.

Butchyrestingface · 24/07/2022 12:58

There are ASPECTS of the interior I really like. £2.5m and no floor plan though - what the fuck's that all about??

But the area itself looks scary Mary.

MajorCarolDanvers · 24/07/2022 13:01

I find property prices in the south of england to be absolutely mind-blowing.

You could buy at least 6 lovely 4/5 bed house for £2.5 million where I live.

procrastinatingtree · 16/10/2022 11:28

And it's still not sold. Surprise

notapizzaeater · 16/10/2022 11:33

Doesn't the open plan sides of the stairs gather crap and dust ?

Yesthatismychildsigh · 16/10/2022 11:41

It looks like an ex pub. It looks very seedy.

kingtamponthefurred · 16/10/2022 11:56

For that money I'd want at least a glimpse of the sea. And a proper garden.

Bonbon21 · 16/10/2022 11:58

How the hell would you clean that coffee table thing?

Spideryplant · 16/10/2022 12:04

From the layout I thought it might be sold as a live/work type space, to be bought by a company for their employees to use while they're in Brighton

NeedAHoliday2021 · 16/10/2022 12:21

There’s no bath just lots of showers and the actual living space is totally open plan so it’s a no from me. When my teens are watching crap tv I want another room that isn’t the bedroom. So it’s a no from me but the price? I’d want something very different for that.

SlipperyLizard · 16/10/2022 12:26

OMG that street view! That’s never going to improve, and no way has anyone ever sat lounging on those chairs on the gravel

ThreeblackCats · 16/10/2022 12:28

This is not the first time this hone has been featured on mumsnet!

it’s someone’s dream home, don’t you give it any headspace op.

Kimya · 16/10/2022 12:34

There's a lot about the interior that I really like but being so overlooked and hemmed in wouldn't do for me. And yeah it's near the seaside but it's not the nicest bit of town. Definitely wouldn't spend 2 million on it.

thenightsky · 16/10/2022 12:35

At least they added a floor plan to the details now. A pp mentioned it had no water. Wonder if they've had to connect it now as it must be impossible to sell without.

TheDogsMother · 16/10/2022 12:36

I really don't get the love for Brighton. Very happy to spend the day there but a lot of it is dirty, run down and a real homeless problem. That mews is just off a street full of restaurants so I imagine rats and antisocial behaviour would be a real issue. Mad money !

miceonabranch · 16/10/2022 12:39

Omg that streetview is shocking 😱 the house is dark and miserable. I wouldn't think it's worth more than about £800,000. Location is everything. It would make a passable brothel though.

Chooksnroses · 16/10/2022 12:40

SavingsThreads · 23/07/2022 17:05

The house is gorgeous, except for the sofa and random red accents which are Envy.

But agree that price is mad. Though I don't think you can call central Brighton, 5 mins from the beach a 'not great' location. Surely it depends on lifestyle?

Have you clicked on the street view link?
