I’ve looked at the map now and realise I stayed very very near here once. It was a shithole. It was close to the good area(s) but was very crap itself.

SavingsThreads · 23/07/2022 18:18

@luckylavender there's no water?!

Nope, not yet at least. Nor a roof.

Perple · 23/07/2022 18:57

Really grim location. It’s waaaay over priced for the area.

Maireas · 23/07/2022 18:59

That black staircase looks sinister.
I suppose you get quite a lot of space, but it wouldn't be ideal if you had children.
That is one ugly kitchen.

TrianglePlayer · 23/07/2022 19:03

I keep coming back to it. The property is hideous. Even if it was nice it’s overpriced in that location.

NellieJean · 23/07/2022 19:05

It’s an ideal location for restaurants, bars, the sea etc. and a beautiful house. However you will have to put up with people puking, shagging, fighting, shooting up outside your front door. I guess it depends on your priorities and point of view Personally not at half the price.

sst1234 · 23/07/2022 19:28

So he spent £1.3M and wants £2.5M for it? No way has he added so much value. It’s an impractical layout, crap sized bedrooms, terrible kitchen like other said and no garden. The location absolutely lets it down.

Surely, the dude is deluded.

Yep this is what I would say about the accommodation. So close to the shops etc and also super close to the seafront but the area itself is a shithole.

OhThatChicken · 23/07/2022 19:33

It looks like an amazing holiday home... Just can't see it as being somewhere I could live day to day / find storage for my Christmas decorations and kid stuff.

Shsios · 23/07/2022 19:38

No can’t see what’s attractive about it

TowelChair · 23/07/2022 19:58

It’s the kind of place that appeals as an Airbnb. It’s not homely enough to be my actual home imo

pictish · 23/07/2022 20:01

I think it’s fabulous but not anywhere worth the asking price.

This. And you forgot the rats. Everywhere.

pd339 · 23/07/2022 21:24

Crikey, that streetview! I wouldn't live there if you paid me.

greywinds · 23/07/2022 21:36

I can't see that's worth the asking price either - I can see why someone might want it but not for that much...

DontKeepTheFaith · 23/07/2022 21:40

If you had £2.5 million to spend in Brighton you would not want to live in that area!!

Definitely going to be plagued by drunk people peeing and worse.

Hard to work out the layout with no floor plan. And far too many arty photos that don’t tell you much.

Not for me and I used to rent a flat near there, in a much nicer street which really isn’t difficult.

ShirleyPhallus · 23/07/2022 21:46

I quite like it! It’s different at least

but the actual road is awful, no other proper houses on there. No floor plan either is odd

justforthisnow · 23/07/2022 21:52

Clearly in a very industrial/commercial part of town. Has it planning? Why is there no water? The interior finish is terrible, reminds me of Wall Street, 1986, when Charlie Sheen got his 1st apartment, same idea.

Singinginthesnow · 23/07/2022 21:55

I quite like it but not the furniture. If I didn't have kids and was a working professional I would like it. But it's a bit dark too. However it's crazy expensive and I'm not a fan of Brighton for living. Only for a day visit.

lastminutedotcom22 · 23/07/2022 23:11

It's ugly, dark and horrible and clearly done on the cheap
The guy lives in Spain hoped to raise its profile to get rid
It could be up on rightmove for a while

I worked in Brighton years ago and parts of it, including that bit are mega rough

dudsville · 23/07/2022 23:17

I think it's beautifully done. It's not my taste but i can appreciate what they've pulled together there. As for neighbourhood, check back on that in 10 years perhaps!

Blue4YOU · 23/07/2022 23:26

I didn’t see the show, but the photos make it look like an office space or stupid private bar waiting to happen- the finish is very poor (the bedroom shows bends in the wall, the paint looks like it’s damp). Poor taste and a pretty shit home I’d imagine

hellesbells · 24/07/2022 00:00

Quitelikeit · 23/07/2022 17:54

Fgs most people don’t leave their deck chairs out all year round!!!!

regardless of posters saying the area is dreadful etc then I’m sure that’s reflected in the price

im wondering if some jealous neighbours are on this thread

Honestly it a horrible lane quite industrial but not in a good way, I used to live next to it in Russell Square

eekyeeky · 24/07/2022 00:03

yes but look at all the hand soap!

eekyeeky · 24/07/2022 00:04

I think it's dark
