As above.

How does compare to what you pay please?

After not having a salon cut for over a decade (combination of home trims and it just breaking due to being tied back) I had mine done in the local village salon a couple of weeks ago.

I vaguely know the stylist and that she has over 20 years of experience. The salon wasn't fancy but it's a really nice cut and at £27.50 it was a lot less than I thought it might have been. I was expecting more like £45 to £55 tbf.

Think it's £55 at mine but I only go about every 7 months I have really long hair. It costs more for long hair as the blow dry takes them ages. But then my hair looks amazing for a couple days

A decent hairdresser won't let you leave the salon without "finishing" the style.

They can't exactly stop you though can they!? If you say no, I don't want it blow dried just towel dried, what are they going to do? There is nothing they can do.

Happy to pay for a blow dry as he does it better than I can ever do it myself. He also finishes the cut after he’s blow dried it.

Of course not but they might not be happy to give you another appt. Different with curly hair of course.

Nothing. I let my 13 year old have at it with a pair of scissors

Favouritefruits · 11/07/2022 18:59

£55 in a average salon nothing special, North West small town.

Thursday37 · 11/07/2022 19:03

I pay £40, but £40-£50 is average here. I would be fine with £45.
I used to go every 6 weeks but now it's 10-12 as need to save money.

girlfriend44 · 12/07/2022 16:31

Have just been informed that someone new will be starting soon and their price will be less than 45 pounds.

I pay £35 to a mobile hairdresser, and about £65-70 if I go to a salon

SallyWD · 12/07/2022 16:35

I pay £58 for that in Leeds. I tip £5 plus £3 for the woman who washes my hair

TheTurn0fTheScrew · 12/07/2022 16:38

£33 in a local place for local people.
Go 5 miles down the road into the city centre and you'll pay twice that.
