Story of girl allegedly raped by father in Greece

Has anyone seen this?

It's a strange story and the daughter has waived her anonymity to sell her story on the paper but in the effort of helping her dad who is in Greek jail who she says didn't rape her.

She is unemployed but was on holiday in greece with just her father.

She has children but remains in greece refusing to go home and leave her dad until he is released.

It's absolutely baffling. If her father is innocent then this is truly horrific for them to go through. But I'm not sure I'd want to be in greece along than back home with my children after such an ordeal. Not sure who is looking after her children.

It was in my immediate family and I have a friend who had the same (different familial relationship though).

Badger1970 · 01/07/2022 16:56

That CCTV was horrid to watch.

It's a really really odd story.

In response to the ‘ does this ever happen’ : My mother who was an infant school teacher in the 1960 s had a catastrophically intellectually disabled child in her class. On investigation his mother was 14 when he was conceived, the child was not the first to be born in the household to a young girl. The father was eventually convicted and imprisoned.

my great grandmother was a village midwife in rural Northumberland before WW1. She said that father daughter incest was surprisingly common in more remote places, and in some of the most deprived pit villages on Friday nights. The children of these unions rarely survived in those days, though.

Tammy’s tick Tok says that her first two children are seriously disabled . I don’t think that any of the four currently live with her.

Runningnewbie · 01/07/2022 17:14

Her tik tok says they were taken into foster care 😢

I wonder if they’re in a ‘relationship’ which is more common than people think especially if he was absent when she was younger and someone else reported him.

What??? I've never heard of a father/daughter relationship before. Siblings, yes but not parents. Please tell me I'm not alone in this

There is a very famous case in America where an absent father married his teenage daughter when he came back in her life. They had a baby and his parents attended the wedding. He then murdered his wife/daughter and the baby they had together.

Gwenhwyfar · 01/07/2022 17:22

I don't know how common incest is, but child sexual abuse seems quite common and some of that is committed by family members. I presume it can sometimes carry on into adulthood.

whynotwhatknot · 01/07/2022 17:59

has anyone got a link to the story anywhere i cant seem to find it

BDeyes · 01/07/2022 18:07

I knew of a brother & sister years ago both in there 20s that were having a sexual relationship, they'd grown up in a very dysfunctional family where abuse was rife, their mother was a prostitute it was all very messed up so they thought it was normal. The young woman also had previously had a baby and the father was her uncle. she would tell people as though it was normal to have a baby to your uncle, was so strange. Her children are teens to early 20s now I wonder if the cycle of incest continued to the next generation.

IcedOatLatte · 01/07/2022 18:20

There are lots of links if you google the key words

I think a lot of ‘incest’ starts out as sexual abuse by a parent/older relative and it normalised for the victim as they are groomed. While is probably isn’t very common I agree it is probably more ‘common’ than we think.

when I was a teen there was a local ‘couple’. Stepfather and daughter. He had been her Dad for most of her life. She had, I think 2 children by him, maybe more. They called him grandad out in public and Dad in private. Looking back, she was a teen when it started and it wasn’t as simple as it being consensual. He had probably groomed her from a much younger age.

If between close relatives, then child sexual abuse IS incest. Not long ago it was classed as incest. Then the law changed to classify it as child sexual abuse. Incest simply defines the closeness of the relationship.

Wth? Did his parents know who the girl was?

SemperIdem · 01/07/2022 19:09

That’s definitely not a usual father/daughter relationship captured in the cctv.

Agree with others re incest being much more commonplace than we would all like to think. People are hardly going to broadcast the fact their relationship is incestuous, for starters. Many of them will have started as child sexual abuse or grooming. I’m aware of this unsettling fact through a previous line of work, long behind me now but I’ll never forget the absolute horrors I saw during it.

SummerLobelia · 01/07/2022 19:24

I just watched the cctv and that is most definitely not what a concerned father worried about his drunk daughter does. Look at the woman behind the bar and th others watching. It is definitely 'wtf'.

The daughter at several points is clearly trying to push him away.

Just watched the video and tbh looks like standard someone trying to get up whose too drunk. The 2 guys in the back watching what's going on look dodgy. To the people asking why she is staying in Crete simple, the jail in Heraklion doesn't provide food or medical or even something to sleep in family bring prisoners food and anything they need. Knowing Malia and Police I believe her.

Really? To me it looks like his hand is up her skirt at one point, and at another he is trying to kiss her/kissing her neck/face in her breasts.

Definitely does not look like a healthy father daughter relationship to me.

I remember this case very well, really tragic. He murdered her adoptive father as well I think.

The girl traced her biological parents, who were still together & then went to live with them & got pregnant by her Father, which set off the dreadful chain of events.

He was totally inappropriate on cctv so i am betting dna will be his

It's called genetic sexual attraction

Its not rare and its called abuse.

Its not unknown to those of us who work with families with inter generational sexual abuse.

I suspect there was no rape and the story is fabricated to explain another pregnancy, which may well turn out to be his child.

If she is fighting for her children to be returned to her then it would be evidence that there is sexual activity between them still if she became pregnant without saying its someone else specifically

Mind you, any new child may well be DNA tested by the courts to see if they are full sibs to the others that are in care.

Did you live near Woody Allen?

What a messed up situation. Where is the cctv ? I can only see stills in the newspaper which doesn't show anything.
