To have not known Keith Richards once looked like this?

I saw the Stones in concert over the weekend - amazing show - and only just realised they're on Instagram.

So I started following them and spotted this shot of Keith, aged 29 in 1972 and bloody hell! He was a bit of all right wasn't he? Who'd have guessed??

My parents knew the stones back at the beginning of their career, my dad was a bouncer at eel pie island where they started out. That’s were he met my mum. He didn’t really like the stones as he preferred tradjazz. I often wonder if my mum had dated one of the stones how life would have turned out. 🤣

By contrast Charlie Watts looked better & better as he aged. My crush grew every year!

Can’t condone the pro hunting stance but he was the ultimate Mr Cool. Still think he’s attractive now.

David Gilmore on the other hand - those eyes. The cheekbones, the lips😍😍😍😍

But mostly the gentle, shyness of a man filling out an arran jumper🤣

Bryan doesn't do it for me either. He reminds me of Jonathan Ross. I'd have left him for Mick too!

I agree with the PP who said David Gilmour looks like Liz Hurley's son. That's now all I can see!

Bryan Ferry was fit when he was with Jerry Hall back in the 1970s. But Mick was richer and more famous, so Jerry likely didn't hesitate a moment when he started showing an interest. We're talking about a woman who married Rupert Murdoch.

I agree that Ferry looks sleazy now, and his social climbing is a tad desperate. Didn't all 4 of his sons attend Eton and other super posh schools?

Marianne was gorgeous, she and Mick made a beautiful couple. I remember when she played God on Ab Fab...and the Devil was none other than Anita Pallenberg!

He also seems to have been much less of a womaniser than his fellow Stones. He rescued Anita Pallenberg from Brian Jones who assaulted her, and, despite their chaotic lifestyle, they had a long relationship. He's been married to Patti Hansen for nearly 40 years, with no scandals that I'm aware of.

Keith does come across as a very decent sort, unlike Mick who is notoriously both stingy and unfaithful with his women.

I think Charlie was only married once and he and his wife were together for over 50 years.

I've lost count on what number wife Ronnie is on but they have 6yo twins(!) and the less said about Bill Wyman's love life the better.

I love the Stones (except Bill, obviously) but in terms of eye candy they're hardly A-ha, even when they were in their twenties.

Bill had more lady friends than the rest of the Stones put together, Brian Jones would have had more had he lived longer, his record was 60 girls in 30 days. Just as well STDs and pregnancy weren't rife back then.🙄

I was always taught, drug addicts don't make old bones. And yet.....

I wonder how they doing it?
Have they done so many drugs it's now pickled them? Like a preservative?
When a nuclear blast happens, will the only things left be Keith Richards and tins of spam? 🤷‍♀️

Pickled . My Dad is similar . I think it’s not getting fat. Being slim the liver can probably cope with the toxins in the system as it doesn’t have to process fatty foods . They all have never gained an once in body fat must be something in that

The is hilarious. Is Mick wearing a leotard? Ronnie's giving it all he's got but he'll never be as cool as Keith, Bill's rolling his eyes thinking "wankers", and Charlie's above it all and just laughing at the lot of them.
