Meaning you genuinely like your partner, would marry then again given the chance, enjoy spending time with them...

I'm happy enough but if I could go back in time, I'd stay single.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 26/06/2022 20:43

I am very happily married. Been married less than a year but together 20 Smile

TowerRavenSeven · 26/06/2022 20:44

Yes 22 years. Has there been rough patches? Of course, but you’d have rough patches if you’re single too, just different kinds. Would I do it again? Yes, 100%

HappyAsASandboy · 26/06/2022 20:44

Me. I love him more now than I did when I married him.

JanisMoplin · 26/06/2022 20:44

I like him and enjoy spending time with him, mostly, but I don't really believe in marriage and cohabitation, unless for DC, especially in later life. Ideally I would like a separate but together arrangement like Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton.

Peaseblossum22 · 26/06/2022 20:44

Yes definitely. Together 38 years, married 32. Three dc .

GroinPain · 26/06/2022 20:44

Meeeee! Adore him

OhThatChicken · 26/06/2022 20:45

Me. I thought he was lovely when we met. But a decade on I know he's the best man I've ever known.

ILoveAllRainbowsx · 26/06/2022 20:45

Me, extremely happily. The difficulties of adult life, parenting, work and so on are all made so much easier and better because we are together.

I vaguely remember reading a (somewhat trite!) phrase years ago: the secret to a long happy marriage is to never fall out of love at the same time.

I am now very happily married, been together 19 years, married 15.

However, personally, I think there is some truth in the above phrase. Things have not always been rosy by any stretch!! There are times when things have been bloody awful, thinking of getting divorced type of awful. How happy we were/are has ebbed and flowed as our lives have changed. i think partly as we got together so young (17 and 19), people change so much from their late teens to mid thirties. I don’t think it’s entire realistic to think things will always be perfectly happy and wonderful at all times.

Mwnci123 · 26/06/2022 20:46

I love him more and like him better than I did when we married ten years ago. He's the one for me.

Milly90 · 26/06/2022 20:46

Yes

but there has been tough times!!!

15 years together 10 years married

Lime37 · 26/06/2022 20:46

It’s not about others who are happy you need to look at your own relationship

Val2021 · 26/06/2022 20:46

Me! 10/10 would marry again

MakkaPakkas · 26/06/2022 20:47

Yes, me. Been together 21 years

presentandsometimescorrect · 26/06/2022 20:47

Mine is wonderful, together for 4 years married for 2. I have a DD and he is an amazing stepdad to her. I'd choose him every time. We have mainly good days and we don't really argue, we disagree on things but usually that's just difference of opinion.

Mamma92 · 26/06/2022 20:47

Very happy here been together 15 years

JanisMoplin · 26/06/2022 20:48

Don't any of you in long marriages ( 20 years +) want your own space? Especially if you both WFH ( curse the pandemic):)

WildFlowerBees · 26/06/2022 20:48

Me, he is the nicest most genuine person I know. We laugh a lot, he's my favourite person. Gives me plenty of space to do my own thing and I him, never any pressure when I work long hours. He is perfect for me.

PotatoFamily · 26/06/2022 20:49

Me! Been together 7.5 years, married for 4. He’s the most amazing human on the planet. I just look at him and go weak at the knees. We are such a good team and never argue.

Isthisit22 · 26/06/2022 20:49

Me.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 26/06/2022 20:50

Yep, blissfully. My DH is kind, funny, loving, generous, a devoted dad and my best friend.

Narcheska · 26/06/2022 20:50

Me!

i had two awful long term relationships before hand wasted years of my life. DH is just the best.

ManateeFair · 26/06/2022 20:50

Not married but together nearly 20 years and blissfully happy. The only thing I’d do differently if I had my time again is find him sooner.
