What would you expect to turn up in the bag from the online menu there?

The person doing the web design messed up. They didnt reason the description and must have thought the world double meant 2 of each thing. Someone is in trouble!

knittingaddict · 23/06/2022 20:25

A burger with 2 beef patties (hate that word) and possibly chips and a drink. I'm only assuming because I can't see the whole discription.

I wouldn't expect 2 burgers and two drinks as that isn't a meal.

I do find the menus in places like Burger King and Kentucky Fried Chicken really confusing though as I only go for the grandchildren's food on rare occasions.

Rubygloomy · 23/06/2022 20:26

Sorry photo didn't add.

It is indeed 2 burgers, 2 chips, 2 drinks for 10.99

I think the server read it wrong and you were meant to get double everything. They often do these deals like you say, in the bundle section.

WeAreBob · 23/06/2022 20:29

Well that clarifies it!
Get onto them to send you more food!

Kennykenkencat · 23/06/2022 20:36

At £10.49 for 1 burger, 1 chips and a coke for a fast food restaurant I think that is extortionate.

i have had a waitress served meal in a restaurant with a drink for less than that

knittingaddict · 23/06/2022 20:36

So I'm right to be confused then? Good to know.

But that screenshot suggests that is a voucher deal? Did you use the relevant voucher?

What was the description of the item you ordered on the device /the method that you ordered it? The description that you should have read before placing an order?

It's quite normal for different deals to be offered with vouchers/on the app. The only thing that is relevant is the actual written description of the item that you actually ordered. If that says 2 x double cheese burgers, 2 x chips, 2 x coke, then get on the phone to them. If it didn't, then you ordered the wrong thing.

Sofasogood1 · 23/06/2022 20:42

They obviously just got the order wrong. Did you say 'this is missing a meal'?

Octomore · 23/06/2022 20:42

Only 1 meal (burger, coke, fries), but with two patties in the burger.

It's only about £1 more than a single meal, so it was obviously never going to be 2 x everything, if that is what you thought.

Thatswhyimacat · 23/06/2022 20:44

Steak cut chips

It is.

I think Just Eat have just messed it up.

They already forgot all our burgers when we ordered and had to get them sent out so I didn't want to deal with them again.

Oh well

But that isn't the deal you ordered? (well at least not the one you posted about in your OP).

You ordered the £10.49 "cheesy bacon double meal" not the £10.99 "cheesy bacon double duo". Annoying that you could have doubled up for 50p, but if you ordered the cheaper meal, you can't then complain that they delivered that instead of the (slightly) more expensive duo, which you didn't order.

Shade17 · 23/06/2022 21:03

two bottle of come

Doesn't sound very appealing 😂

LubaLuca · 23/06/2022 21:04

The photo is obviously hugely misleading, whether that's deliberate or not is irrelevant - it is, and they shouldn't be using it.

Have you contacted whichever party (BK or the delivery company) is using the photo to explain why you're disappointed?

ApolloandDaphne · 23/06/2022 18:50

A burger. Only one.

This. It says a double burger, so I’d expect one of those.

BreadInCaptivity · 23/06/2022 21:10

I think you eat too many fast food burgers

IstayedForTheFeminism · 23/06/2022 21:23

But it's a double cheese burger, bundled together with fries and a drink. Hence a bundle.

Which has always (at least as long as I can remember) been called a meal. Not a bundle.
You can buy, for example, a whopper burger. Which is just a burger.
Or a whopper burger meal. Which is the burger, chips and a drink.

By calling it a bundle it sounds like something more than the meal. And the picture looks like a bundle of 2 meals. So I'd expect 2 meals.

I don't eat fast food. I actually cannot eat fast food, medically.

Tonight I ordered BK for my son because today he left high school and completed his last GCSE so I let him choose what was for dinner.

And the burgers I collected last week were for my husband.

One burger with the double pattie and a soda. The photo is misleading though so I imagine some would expect 2 burgers and 2 sodas?

BadNomad · 23/06/2022 21:57

Here is my Just Eat. Yours put the "Cheesy Bacon Double - Meal" in the wrong section. It shouldn't have been in the Bundle section, but it was the right meal for the price. The image does belong to the Bacon Double Duo.
