To ask how many people you've slept with?

Do you even know the number.. I was thinking today that I've never actually 'tallied' it (not sure if it's a more male thing to do!) but I think it's around 9 or 10.

I've no idea what's considered high/low for women.. and I assume mens are higher.. although my partner tells me he's only slept with 2 people which shocked me!

Also I'm confused what's so twee about using the term 'slept with' it's a fairly common phrase where I'm from!

Because it's such a euphemism. I've had sex with around 40 people, but I've literally slept with 8 of them. Someone asked me recently what I most fantasised about, and I said literally sleeping with someone I really want to be with. Not that sleeping with someone is so great - the most one woke me in the middle of the night shouting (he has been mega-stressed lately.) So I suppose it's really a fantasy around trust and acceptance.

Still, I've had some awesome sex with some of the ones I haven't slept with.

12 (I'm 41, was married for 9 years of that). Most of mine were in my "wild" year travelling around Australia. My partner is somewhere between 20-30 (he's 41 & was married for 3 years of it).

@BaronessEllarawrosaurus wow that was me too . I wouldn’t have been able to elucidate that at the time but now I can see that I thought someone really liked me if they slept with me and this would be a long and loving relationship.
I've never admitted that before, nor heard anyone else admit it . Thank you !

I remember them all and I remember the thrill and anticipation of not quite knowing what I was about to experience. They all had a range of qualities and skills and I feel like every sexual partner I had gave me a new insight in to sex in some way.

I’ve only slept with one person in the last 12 years (my husband) and sometimes I do miss the feelings of excitement, novelty and anticipation that come with having sex with someone new for the first time.

Over 40 but probably not 50. Can't remember every one. I started late (19), was married for a total of 15 years, and last had sex at 51 ... which goes to show I crammed them in while young & single 😂Some nice memories, one or two funny stories and a few utter arseholes.
