AIBU to consider the wife?

straightoutofa · 15/06/2022 14:19

I know a married man through dog-walking, and I am attracted to him. I also suspect he is not in a sexual relationship with his wife. I would never make a move on him. If he were to make a move on me, I would tell him that I am interested in him, but that he would have to be single for me to take it any further. AIBU?

I am on the side of easy prey also.

EmeraldShamrock1 · 15/06/2022 14:49

Do you think men say those sort of things with any intention in mind or are they just trying to be 'funny'
Yes he definitely had an intention in mind.
Do you want to be his bit on the side? There'll definitely be a million reasons why he can't leave his non sexual relationship, he'll enjoy tasting the cake, probably the wife's too.

worraliberty · 15/06/2022 14:49

When the dog licked his face he jokingly said 'that's more than I get at home'.

Perhaps his dog has stopped having sex with him?

I'm on the Autistic Spectrum BTW so I don't always get humour (but mostly I do, especially ironic humour).

Eh? Are you feeling OK? If some random woman made a move on my husband for making a dad joke he'd be like what the fuck.

Bit of a drip feed there!
He didn't mean anything by it.
Stay away.

DenholmElliot1 · 15/06/2022 14:52

OP I hope you don't mind me asking but are you lonely? Are you in a relationship yourself?

2bazookas · 15/06/2022 14:52

Youb sound absolutely nutty.
You cannot have ANY notion what kind of physical relations he has with his wife.

Marvellousmadness · 15/06/2022 14:53

I wouldn't pursue a married man
But I wouldn't say no if he made a pass at me either
Here is looking at you thor 🤣

Vapeyvapevape · 15/06/2022 14:53

Putting the humour to one side , just leave married men alone and yes , you should consider his wife's feelings.

huuskymam · 15/06/2022 14:53

Just steer clear of him altogether.

Yes, I'm in a relationship. I don't think I'm lonely but it's possible. I just find this particular man attractive for what he looks like.

WTF?

There are some strange threads this afternoon.

GCSE Biology finished at 10.45, they're probably bored.

Vapeyvapevape · 15/06/2022 14:54

Your poor partner

me4real · 15/06/2022 14:56

Don't even tell him you'do be up for it if he was single. Wait till he's single (if he ever is) before responding to anything he might suggest. Because their marriage might still have a chance even after they first separate.

straightoutofa · 15/06/2022 14:39

I took it as a joke but it is plausible.

Lol

What's that got to do with wanting to pursue a married man like a dog in heat?

Do you think men say those sort of things with any intention in mind or are they just trying to be 'funny'? There's another one who makes innuendo when the dogs greet one another (if you know how dogs greet one another).

Your fellow dog walkers are a bunch of creeps.

Blue4YOU · 15/06/2022 15:02

If his wife was dead this would be another of the millions of rom coms that seem to emerge every Christmas

PinaColadaSunset · 15/06/2022 15:03

You have taken his remark literally and then construed a story / fantasy around it. You have misread this.

Do you not like your partner? Or you think dog man is a better option (on the basis of...)? You don't have to engineer a situation to strike up a relationship with everyone you like the look of. You can just think, "Oh, he's nice looking. The end."
