AIBU to consider the wife?

I know a married man through dog-walking, and I am attracted to him. I also suspect he is not in a sexual relationship with his wife. I would never make a move on him. If he were to make a move on me, I would tell him that I am interested in him, but that he would have to be single for me to take it any further. AIBU?

The more than i get at home comment is sleazy and gratutious and more than a little ick.

He knew exactly what he was saying and how you would react.

Just yuck.

straightoutofa · 15/06/2022 14:39

I took it as a joke but it is plausible.

That sounds like something my husband would say as a joke but I am 9 months pregnant…..

Steelesauce · 15/06/2022 14:39

Stop speaking to him altogether because you're clearly getting far too invested already. Hes married, he was making a joke not declaring he hates his wife.

GinaDonatella · 15/06/2022 14:39

Good GOD that’s over reaching in the highest form with the dog lick thing

pull yourself together and stop fantasising about this man

ladydimitrescu · 15/06/2022 14:40

Oh ffs - you seriously need to get a grip.
That was a joke.
I'm embarrassed for you.

When the dog licked his face he jokingly said 'that's more than I get at home'.

You are either massively over thinking this, or just posting for shits & giggles because you are bored this afternoon. It's a nice afternoon, why not take your dog out for a walk...

washingwakeup · 15/06/2022 14:42

When the dog licked his face he jokingly said 'that's more than I get at home'.

Maybe the dog ignores him at home

Well, of course, that's rock solid proof right there. Well done, Sherlock. FFS. You sound like you're 12.

straightoutofa · 15/06/2022 14:43

It's too hot to walk the dog.

My original post was actually genuine but it has unexpectedly turned into giggles.

Bottom line is all the time he's married I would never say anything. But I wouldn't say anything because he is married. Then I'm thinking - well, I don't owe her anything (from another thread) so why not? My morals and my logic aren't really saying the same thing.

You need a life! His comment was a joke in no way does it imply he doesn't have sexual relation with his wife! You just want it to mean that as you are attracted to him. Stay away from him, don't wreck his marriage because of your little girl crush.
I feel embarrassed for you, awful woman you are.

Seriously 🙄

He landed that line with precision.
Any man who discussed his personal business in that manner is in inappropriate sleaze ball.
That line made me want to vomit.

EmeraldShamrock1 · 15/06/2022 14:44

You're so gullible my dear.

SoyMarina · 15/06/2022 14:44

Yay OP..go for it!
I reckon he will leave his wife instantly and wisk you off to Venice/Romantic location and you, him and the doggies will live happily ever after.
Can I come to the wedding please?

girlmom21 · 15/06/2022 14:45

Stay away from another woman's husband. If you're attracted to him back right off. He probably thinks you're just a friendly neighbour.

GreatCuppa · 15/06/2022 14:46

WTF?

There are some strange threads this afternoon.

😂

Try not to ruin people's marriages/lives op. It's not that difficult.

EmeraldShamrock1 · 15/06/2022 14:44

You're so gullible my dear.

Do you think men say those sort of things with any intention in mind or are they just trying to be 'funny'? There's another one who makes innuendo when the dogs greet one another (if you know how dogs greet one another).

Seems fair enough. Not sure why this is a potential problem though. He might just like walking his dog with you and so in that case you're being a bit creepy to be planning this scenario.

EmeraldShamrock1 · 15/06/2022 14:46

He probably thinks you're just a friendly neighbour.
I doubt that I'd say he thinks you're easy prey.

BaaCake · 15/06/2022 14:47

Actually, just tell him you fancy a shag and see what happens.

Aposterhasnoname · 15/06/2022 14:48

OMFG, really? You’re taking that as proof he doesn’t have sex with his wife?

You’re bonkers, HTH.

rainyskylight · 15/06/2022 14:48

OP, you’re so far down the rabbit hole here. everything about your post is hypothetical and based on passing daydreams. Stop wasting your time (and ours) thinking about this stuff, it’s irrelevant.

SexyLittleNosferatu · 15/06/2022 14:48

This is a weird way to do a thread about a thread.

Go for it. Lick his face after you've licked your own arse. He might be up for that.
