So I went to a wedding with my DH this weekend (I didn’t know anybody and was a tad nervous)…people kept buying me shots and I stupidly drank them. I was so drunk to the point where the bride had to ask my DH had a problem with her sister as I kept banging into her when dancing 😢 I was also sick outside the venue…oh dear 😭

No, the fact you got too drunk once didn't indicate an issue with alcohol. IME it's how you deal with it now that's key.

You're saying you won't do it again, and if you don't then it's not a problem.. but if you'd, say, felt so guilty and embarrassed the day after that you drowned your sorrows in Mateus Rose, then I think that would be a sign of a wider issue!

Are you likely to see these people again?

Yes just say the medication you were on didn’t mix well with the alcohol; you didn’t realise it would cause issues.

No well fuck it chalk it up as experience & save it a reminder not to get that rat arsed again; apologise to Dh & say you’ll never drink that much again 😂😂

Happened at a wedding I went to - to a woman who was very close to the bride. Probably much worse than you OP. We all laugh about it now - including the bride - it just became a funny wedding story. So I'd not worry too much.
