Regardless of the verdict, the fallout is going to be worse for Heard. She's ruined reputationally and professionally: Depp's already got what he wanted.

Whether he wins or loses, Depp will be fine. It's a case of heads, he wins, tails, she loses.

I sincerely hope someone is looking out for that woman.

As evidence goes it doesn’t really show anything conclusive…

She could be ‘fronting’ it for her friend, pretending all is hunkydory by hamming it up with him. Those texts could be read in many ways, I can imagine many people I know talking like this (extreme sarcasm) in an effort to be funny and smart. It’s definitely not damning as far as concrete evidence goes…

That’s why I find the dry legal aspect to this case so interesting, it really shows up what can counts as strong evidence, and what will be seen as conjecture.

It is far too common that the media present conjecture as evidence, which is then pounced upon by the public as ‘proof’.

The law takes a completely different view.

Another thing I find interesting in Depp first testimony, when he speaks about amber,he doesn't talk about how wonderful she is.

He talks about how much he felt she likes him.
Not how beautiful , wonderful and special she was as amber did for him.

I think during the relationship it was all about control within the relationship - not a master plan to take him down publicly.

@Midlifemusings but then why did she write journal entries and why is there an unsent email from August 2013 talking about his violence and Jekyll and Hyde character? That doesn't fit with trying to control him. That's full on Gone Girl if she was doing that. I can't take that idea seriously.

Which makes me think she's not even over him yet and cannot cope with the fact that he no longer wants to be with her.
