Who will win between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard defamation case

I think Johnny Depp will win because he had strong, reliable and consistent evidence of "his" case

I hope MN will allow debate about a matter of public interest.

Of course he can and does do drugs with his rich influential friends, if there’s anything we’ve learned he does what the hell he likes.

She’s very silly to go to retrial with such a huge star, she’s been put through a kind of hell and witch hunt that isn’t commensurate with her sins.

The US justice system has come off as a trashy circus in this trial.

What I don't understand is - if these horrendous things have happened on both sides, why is no one pursuing a criminal trial?

I'm not an adoring fan, and I don't think he's pure, I think he's very troubled. I do think he's innocent of abusing her though, as do most people.

I would say having the abuse of your mother, mocking his children, encouraging him to self harm and accusations of raping her with a broken bottle is ripped apart.

Re the criminal trial - yes, one does wonder why poor Amber didn't go to the police for her many vicious assaults (and no, its' not because she was 'scared' to come forward).

Then he flues to England gets on stage and has the terminity to perform like a rock star.

He is now out partying.

You're happy for false evidence in the UK trial to stand, i.e. the smashing up a trailer story which the trailer park owner has now refuted, yet anyone corroborating anything JD says is clearly lying, the UK case result was fair and just and the US one not. You've got a woman making things up as she goes, showing all the hallmarks of a compulsive liar when contradicting herself and forgetting what lies she's told, perjuring herself in the process and you STILL won't accept who and what she is.

I don't say something like this lightly, but some of the AH defenders on here are either mentally ill or just hate men THAT much.

As for why didn't she go to the police? Many many victims dont due to the trauma and being scared. She was right.

He waited until the statute of limitations ran out on domestic abuse. Then sued for defamation. I don't think she ever wanted to pursue him criminally. It's pretty rare to do that.

Johnny has been playing music and in a band and touring since before he as an actor. He is and has always been a musician. He is also an artist / painter.

He didn't fly to England to pretend to be a rock star. He flew to England because he likely had a contractual commitment as a musician.

This trial is mostly harmful to men or women who intended to make false allegations. This trial and verdict has really put truth and honesty at the forefront and said - to those of you tleling the truth about being abused - we hear you, we see you. To those of you making up lies or flipping the scrip to try and make your victim out to be abusive - we won't stand for that.

Johnny is an imperfect victim, far from an angel or a hero. We all know victims can be imperfect and can act in many different ways. We also know Johnny had childhood trauma and has had to deal with addiction since he was a child. These both absolutely impact him and his life in varying ways.

It seems there is a debate as to whether a victim should be called an abuser when they react to the abuse directed at them. Some think that yes - any action regardless of the dynamic makes you an abuser and so Johnny is an abuser and not just a reactive victim. Others think that reactions are not abusive as they are not motivated by abuse but more out of furstration and helplessness - in that case Johnny is not an abuser. Whether or not Johnny is an abuser comes down to your view on mutual abuse. We know Amber is an abuser - is her victim also an abuser when he reacts? When he expresses frustration or anger? When he has had enough of the abuse and wants out?

JD doesn’t need you cheerleaders to protect him, he’s a big boy I’m sure he can handle the fact some random woman on the internet says she is a better person than him (and in fact is a better person) because she’s never headbutted her spouse, lost jobs through drink and drugs, appeared pissed on stage, described in detail how she wants to rape someone’s corpse and generally been the absolute opposite of a good parent.

I wouldn’t be friends with someone in the first place who was snorting their fortune up their nose and chucking away their own career so that’s a moot point. Nothing more boring than cokeheads. I don’t know all addicts, thank fuck. But I’ve met enough.
