'Your spelling is going to shit'

That's a bit harsh rousette. My spag isn't great I do apologise, I can't always find my reading specs.

I repeat the report isnt damning. Some pissed up civil servants took things too far, their line managers should have addressed it at the time.

BJ received an fpn for sarnies in the office. It is laughable.

I'm laughing but not at the report. I have more respect for people in this country.

It's not funny.

You are quite obviously focusing on the birthday party. An easy option for you. Any comments on the 95% rest of the SG report?

SueSaid · 25/05/2022 13:44

Look, I know this must sting but the report is a damp squib as expected. It just is. The photos of him are no different to anyone else at work eating sarnies.

The desperation from those in the house shouting at him is just ridiculous. How disappointed they must be that there aren't any revelations at all other than a few civil servants got pissed and should have been bollocked at the time. Poor Dom Grin.

Yeah, no that's not what's laughable.
Your minimising posts are.

You really don't get it, do you?

Anything but a damp squid. I can only presume you haven't read it?

Roussette · 25/05/2022 13:49

Whatsapps...

"We seem to have got away with it
We musn't walk round with bottles of wine in case anyone sees it
We have to keep this quiet'

They knew they were doing wrong but BJ popped in, downed a couple, and in doing so rubber stamped the party. After all, if you worked for a multi national and the CEO came in and had a drink with you, you wouldn't think 'ooops, I shouldn't be here'
He didn't stop it. Didn't warn of social distancing. Didn't tell them to fuck off out of there. I don't care about the birthday party, he broke the law on that, he got fined, it's the rest that gets me. He allowed it. He encouraged it. He told people to let their hair down. Awful, disgusting, and he's a self serving liar that is dragging this country down.
And no, we can't push all the blame onto the civil service bosses. Their ultimate boss is BJ, so the same applies to them as far as having a drink with the boss so thinking it was all OK.

The buck stops with him. He desperately wanted this job. He just can't do it competently because of his character and complete lack of moral fibre

Who was Martin Reynolds line manager?

Oh wait 🤔

Notonthestairs · 25/05/2022 13:52

Nobody actually investigated 13/11 ABBA party did they?

Sue Gray explicitly says she didn't.
The Police didn't either.

Johnson was only investigated for 2 of the 6 gatherings he attended - one was his ambushed by cake gathering and his attendance at a leaving party (coincidentally on 13/11 and which he left to go to the party in the flat)

Roussette · 25/05/2022 13:53

Bullshit. You are yet again focussing on the b/d party and sandwiches.

You haven't read it all. Why don't you try? 60 pages. An eye opener. And far far far worse than even I imagined.

If it was a damp squib, barely anyone would be talking about it. They are. In a big way.
Sorry to disappoint you on that.

However, I do know that you are having a laugh with all of these posts of yours. It's worked, you've been deliberately provocatively desperate, and it's worked and I know you don't believe what you post. Because no one with your intelligence can be so lacking in awareness of all of this.

Odessafile · 25/05/2022 14:14

Just about to catch covid which affected my health for another 15 months.

SueSaid · 25/05/2022 15:08

'If it was a damp squib, barely anyone would be talking about it. They are. In a big way.'

Well we are here, Sky are trying to make it a big deal but in the absence of further fpns for the PM, the absence of incriminating photos (and that birthday party one really is utterly ridiculous) we are faced with a mountain out of a molehill. Drunk civil servants and a boozing work culture which they are addressing. The PM wasn’t fined for any other the events so the snap of his 3 man zoom obviously is the extent of his 'partying'. Loved Bunter Blackford's highly predictable 'resign PM, RESIIIIIIIIGN!!'

Anywayy, let's hope the media can focus on more newsworthy stuff from now on.

I have sympathy for those that have suffered as we all have in the last 2 years but restrictions were there for a reason and work places of course would have had folk interacting.

MiseryWIthAStent · 25/05/2022 15:09

I had covid. Caught from work. Because we didn't have enough PPE. Despite being 'front line'

Notonthestairs · 25/05/2022 15:15

"The PM wasn’t fined for any other the events".

The PM was investigated for 2 events of which he was fined for one.

The party in his flat on 13/11 was not investigated.

We have the Privileges Committee investigation next to find out whether he lied to Parliament. Expect that to begin around 6th June.

GoodJanetBadJanet · 25/05/2022 15:33

Anywayy, let's hope the media can focus on more newsworthy stuff from now on.

Er, you might not like the fact but a lying, law breaking PM is newsworthy.

Context. 'Law breaking'.. have you seen the photo in the office with a jug of juice and boxes of butties on the table?!

You have to be on a windup as i cant believe someone can be this deluded? And i don't use that word lightly.

Have you read the report more specifically reading leadership and responsibility?

Dashdotdotdash · 25/05/2022 15:56

SueSaid · 25/05/2022 08:57

'So why didn't the Govnmt care enough to follow them then, if they were really serious that they wanted to stop the spread?'

Did they visit relatives in care homes, go to funerals, go on holidays, go to the pub? No. They went to work. Where there does seem to be a boozing culture as we've also seen at Durham. They need to have a tee total workplace, I believe BJ is making reforms.

They didn't need to go to the pub, the pub came to them at work. They also seem to have been taking quite a lot of holidays at work, too.

Roussette · 25/05/2022 15:58

Ye gods. Listening to BJ press conference.
He is just ignorant and thick if what he is saying is true.
"It didn't occur to me"
"I didn't know"
"I had no idea this went against the rules"

How come just about all the public knew what to do but he didnt?

Does anyone swallow this guff? Because he's either lying or he's just thick and stupid.

@Onthedowns Don't expect Janiie to have read that report, it's obvious she hasn't. Because she can only talk about 'butties' and OJ. All the rest was nothing to do with BJ. Nothing to see hear.

Dashdotdotdash · 25/05/2022 16:02

Yes - of course - but no one else has even remotely suggested that Boris Johnson sent an email to instigate the gathering on 13th November

He didn't have to. He could just pass the word on to someone else to organise it. Or say yes when it was suggested to him.

Or, most importantly, he could join in when it was happening and start drinking toasts. Because it doesn't actually matter whether he instigated it or not, does he? The point is that he saw it going on and it never once occurred to him to go in there and tell them all to stop being bloody idiots and get the hell out.

Roussette · 25/05/2022 16:03

Anywayy, let's hope the media can focus on more newsworthy stuff from now on

Unlikely. This will hang over him like a cloud for the rest of his tenureship. And there are more investigations into his obvious lying.

It's not going away however many times he and his faithfuls say 'move on'.

GoodJanetBadJanet · 25/05/2022 16:03

Context. 'Law breaking'.. have you seen the photo in the office with a jug of juice and boxes of butties on the table?!

Of course you know perfectly well that he didn't get a FPN for sandwiches. If that was all the FPN was about he would have had every right to tell the police to get lost. As it was, he paid up.

MarshaBradyo · 25/05/2022 16:12

In November most likely following the rules etc

Hearing about the going on in civil service at No. 10 it sounds worse than my typically boozy sector

Being sick etc - they were hammering it

And the messages from that Martin guy - at least people have been identified

Roussette · 25/05/2022 16:21

Blimey. Even Michael Fabricant, one of the biggest BJ fans, has called it 'a damning report'.

So not a 'damp squib' at all.

If he says it, it must be bad.
