I sort of knew this would fall down on cross. He is struggling and getting angry.

JDs own father was abused my his mother so yes, women can be abusers.

Well it seems Whitney was scared of Amber. She admits that she can totally loose it. I can see her being quite scary and very physical. I think she was very verbally and mentally abusive. It seemed to me on the tapes that she could run rings around JD verbally and was much more articulate than him. It seems she was able to mentally abuse him and perhaps with that she could physically abuse as he was weakened this way.

If you have witnessed women abusing men, you don't doubt that it exists.

If you have spoken to men abused by women, you don't doubt it exist.

There are countless first person accounts online of men who have been psychologically, physically, financially, and sexually abused by women. It bothers me so much that those accounts are all dismissed as lies and impossible.

The fact that men abuse women in more serious ways than women abuse men should never discount the existence of or experience of individuals. Applying a statistic and a generality to every individual experience is just wrong.

Boulshired · 23/05/2022 17:26

Amber heard has paid for this

Miscfeminista · 23/05/2022 17:27

And how do we know his father was abused by his mother? I was living with an abusive father who is trying to DARVO for a long time now and my siblings seemed to have drastically different view despite us witnessing the same violent occassions. Kids are very easily influenced, we all believed our dad when he blamed our mum. As they are getting older they are more prone to saying"well, they were both equally bad"and recently it was more"well I don't really talk to(our dad)anyway". So I would not neccessarily believe JDs interpretation becuase he denies domestic abuse exists(unless he can turn it in his favour). He could very well be remembering instances where his mother reacted to something-maybe she even got back at him for something JD didn't see in their bedroom. She could have been abusive to Johnny but that his dad was completely powereless...again it seems like I am living in paralel universe where women don't get murdered by their ex and current partners in numbers they do and where women are not the big majority of numbers of sexual abuse. I am confused by others people perception of power in society.

JD testimony said it right at the beginning in lots of detail. His sister said it too. His dad left because of it. jD said he witnessed it himself daily.

I don't understand your pov at all. Why is it one of the other? The arguments are strange. Both men and women can be victims and abusers. Just because statics say more women are victims it doesn't mean men aren't ever abused either. It's a strange concept trying to argue it can be only one or the other. Sorry but your points make no sense to me. I don't think anyone has said in reality that only men or women can be victims and not both.

Boulshired · 23/05/2022 17:37

Avoiding SM with this guy it’s probably brutal.

Boulshired · 23/05/2022 17:54

I thought the social media guy had it bad in cross, that was another level.

TiddyTidTwo · 23/05/2022 18:01

That was exhausting to watch! Wonder who is next??

adriftabroad · 23/05/2022 18:02

Well, that went well.

Sozzler · 23/05/2022 18:20

@Miscfeminista ·There is a big difference between the macro and micro level. Yes, there are a undeniable gender inequalities and power imbalances in favour of men in society. But on the micro level women can and do exercise power over men and ultimately abuse them in a variety of ways. There is much research on this as well as organisations designed specifically to help male victims of DA.

It absolutely does happen and this narrative that it is impossible is incredibly damaging and dangerous. Because of social attitudes and stigma men are more likely to hide DA, deny it is happening, put up with it and not seek help. Some female abusers know they can get away with it because of his social denial. Male victims of DA become trapped because they don't think they will be believed, they can't fight back without becoming a 'woman beater' and they feel ashamed. Most don't have millions of pounds and access to top shot lawyers to try to prove their innocence either.

Kate Moss testifying on Wednesday.

ICanSmellSummerComing · 23/05/2022 18:30

I've not cought up yet but amber's sister and Josh drew are very credible.
Sister possibly best for Amber so far.

Kate rarely speaks!

I watch the Umbrella Guy and he just said. Apparently it's on the court list or something. I will try to find info.

KTheGrey · 23/05/2022 18:43

Here is something I find weird about the JD team wrt the finger - where are the medical papers? There must be quite a lot of them, from the initial treatment particularly.

Miscfeminista · 23/05/2022 18:44

I think this dr may be neurodivergent and reason why judge didn't go after him too much. Either way, all I saw was JD and his lawyer team being seemingly intolerant toward the way he speaks or at least very arrogant with them laughing at him and making these faces like he's an idiot and they don't want to listen. I didn't neccessarily see anything"bad"he said, he is just very elaborate and for better or worse, fails to"read the room"and went on for bit longer than someone else would. I found his testimony helpful
