If you were Kate moss and were called, would you do it?
If they are called, do they *Have to do it?

They do not. Virginia does not require out of state witnesses to testify. It is voluntary.

No, if I was Kate Moss, I would not. Both of them were heavily in drugs / alcohol back then. She has never said anything yet and is best to just keep living her life.

How is that facts? It is a twitter thread with one real picture (?) and one doctored picture. What are the facts?

A discussion of what broken noses actually look like.

(Not that her nose is broken in that particular photo, she didn’t actually claim her nose had been broken).

Boulshired · 22/05/2022 22:20

I don’t think Depps tactics would include moss unless he had time. His main rebuttal witnesses are to discredit Amber, Amber herself said Moss was a rumour.

TiddyTidTwo · 22/05/2022 23:04

It's going to be Jennifer Howell and her testimony is going to blow Amber and Whitney's out of the water.

Cantbelieveiusedtowatchthiscrap · 22/05/2022 23:14

@TiddyTidTwo Is that tomorrow? Is that denying what Whitney said about the fight on the stairs?

Anyone surprised about the differences between Whitney & Amber? Obviously all sisters aren’t the same, they just seem *So different in the way they speak/act/look etc

Not sure why I'm battling on in these threads full of medical and domestic abuse 'experts' but I keep trying.

Boulshired · 22/05/2022 23:47

We’re not going to know anything really about amber nose as this trial other than what she says. There wasn’t even a photograph of the met gala incident and it may only be disclosed after the trial why her ENT medical notes never made into discovery. Looking at photographs is just speculation. It hasn’t even been disclosed yet if the photographs are original - that will come with the two data experts.

Aspiringmatriarch · 22/05/2022 23:53

Here's another interesting one.

minou123 · 23/05/2022 00:00

In fairness, Derek Young who posted that on twitter is not an expert qualified medical doctor. Had a quick look at his background and he is on the Board of Health and his background is in environmental issues.
It's just his opinion as someone whose had many broken noses.

TiddyTidTwo · 23/05/2022 00:09

I think so Cant.

She also claims Whitney was living with her when Whitney learned her sister had cut JDs finger off. Whitney also opened up to her about her relationship with Amber. They are not loving sisters. Whitney is a victim too

www.tmz.com/2022/05/21/johnny-depp-support-from-women-domestic-abuse-group-statement-amber-heard-trial/?adid=social-tw

Oh Italy 💆why am I not surprised. I would be really, really worried if organisations like womens aid started to support JD(and frankly don’t think it will happen, Italy is still vehemently good old churchy so WA might be another”calibre”to that organisation…I wouldn’t be surprised they work with church as well, two things that can’t go well together)

RonaldMcDonald · 23/05/2022 03:16

I wonder how much of what went on Whitney was aware of? They seem very different, the sisters. As though the paths had definitely parted.
I say this as my aunt didn’t know my dad violently beat my mum and us. She also felt my mum had it very easy as my dad was considerably better off that my mum’s family of origin. By no means of Depp standards but Boarding school v local high type difference.
She resented mum but we couldn’t understand it given our lives.
She regularly though of my mum as affected, off-ish, spoiled, a pain. She was but also standoffish as she was bruised, frightened as she had rules to obey etc, covered in beating gifts. My aunt stood up for my dad as I part did my grandparents but they didn’t know and she was isolated

sorry for taking up the thread. I was just so struck by the sisters and they reminded me

Miscfeminista · 23/05/2022 03:35

Oh I can confirm the sister thing, my sister and I are about 4 years apart and are day and night. It could be the rivalry that we pick up early on that makes us go in different directions? Since my sister is older, maybe she started being more aware of that first among her friends and unintentionally brought in that dynamic because I can remember since we were young she was very resentful toward me tho I always just tried to be like her in the beginning. Then later when I went my way she became even more condenscending and I realised it’s just something she has to figure out and it’s not to do with me. She has also basically sided with my abuser, as did my family. We were close but not close. I can believe that Amber was semi-outcast in the family and was more welcome when money started coming in but that it wasn’t anything people would call a loving and all that supportive family. It may have started looking like that after money started coming in.

It is helpful in understanding your view that to you a fact is if someone on twitter says something you agree with. So anything can be a fact if you see it and agree I take it?

So fact and personal opinion are the exact same thing to you. SOmeone says hey I broke my nose and it looks like that and you hear - FACT: this is what broken noses look like.

It fits with your view that science, medicine, and evidence are irrelevant in this case but I don't think I have before ever heard of FACT defined as someone on Twitter said it.

Midlifemusings · 23/05/2022 06:05

Quote from Amber:

“Whenever my old friends meet someone I’m involved with romantically, they immediately warn them: ‘She may look refined, but when she’s angry, she can go trailer park really fast,’ ” Heard quips. “But I’d always rather be passionate than bland. I can’t imagine living a quiet life.”

Boulshired · 23/05/2022 08:06

Depps team have prepared strongly for rebuttal. To the point they have limited their time in cross. I was expecting a much harder and longer cross on Dr hughes and Amber. The hours were quite close when Depp rested. Depps team has managed to build up a 10 hours gap which you would only do if you believe what you have in store is better than what’s is in front of you.

When people tell you who they are, believe them.

Aspiringmatriarch · 23/05/2022 09:25

Oh, and to respond to your patronising comments. I'm simply giving a view that not every injury has to look super dramatic. Not 'what a broken nose looks like', what it CAN look like. Believe it or don't, I don't care. I have no reason to disbelieve this person who is simply sharing his personal experience.

Do stop talking twaddle.

There has been a lot of nonsense written on here on what broken noses look like.

That post highlighted the medical fact that broken noses aren’t necessarily crooked, misshapen, swollen.

He is simply a man who has broken his nose a lot. He highlights that the medical symptoms of broken noses can be varied. A fact that some posters seemed to be unaware of.

What does a face that's been battered look like? Especially when the batterer is wearing rings?

Cherryblossoms85 · 23/05/2022 10:19

You know I started out loving this trial for the general popcorn value, but the more it's fine on, the more depressing it is. I don't think we'll ever know the truth, but I know it's been a field day for disgusting misogyny, and has made the horror of domestic violence into some sort of joke.
