He's suing for $50 million. She is countersuing for $100 million. 😂

Now I don't know a terrible lot about her diagnoses or lack of them (or whether she agrees with the BPD or histrionic diagnoses), but that is one heck of a fucking superiority complex going on!

What the actual fuck is this woman on?

OP posts:
FitAt50 · 17/05/2022 18:45

She was the young star of an amazing horror film called All the boys love Mandy Lane - she was actually very good in it.

Horst · 17/05/2022 18:46

Oh I watched aquaman. She was the redhead then. I know Jason was in it though.

britneyisfree · 17/05/2022 18:53

Not until the first case. The one that involved the trash paper.

PattyMelt · 17/05/2022 19:02

She was the girl who lived across the hall at the beginning of Zombieland, she didn't even have a name and dead quite quickly.
Other than that I'd never seen her in anything.

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 17/05/2022 19:03

I've watched zombie land and all the boys love mandy lane but didn't know she was in them

LaurieFairyCake · 17/05/2022 19:07

Not really

But the last time I saw HIM in something was the 90's so to me they're equally (in) famous

3WildOnes · 17/05/2022 19:07

I had only heard of her because of the dog smuggling.

Whilst I am sure she is no angel, I do believe that he was abusive towards her. He is so similar to a guy I knew who had problems with alcohol and cocaine.
That video when he's slamming doors in the kitchen was pretty awful.

This. Hardly a box office flip was it. Sequel our this year.

The people that went to see aquaman are the sort who'd watch paint dry if it had a superhero theme. That's why there are so .zny of these Marvel films they can produce any rubbish and people will watch it.

PeekAtYou · 17/05/2022 19:12

I only know her as Johnny Depp's ex wife and Elon Musk's ex gf

I've watched quite a lot of Marvel but very little DC. The last DC movie au watched was back when Heath Ledger was Joker.

Yep, this is how I know her. So I have known who she is for 15 years!

Midlifemusings · 17/05/2022 19:17

She had a really good memory until the cross - now she can't remember most things!

I am sure she will go back to the same kind of career she had before Johnny Anyone dating an A list actor is going to get catapulted up the list - connections and networking are everything. I am sure she will still get work on her own steam - just not blockbusters.

She is 36 currently. I keep seeing her referred to as a young girl. So weird. She is the same age as the lawyer cross examining her and the same age as Mark Zuckerberg, Lebron James, Armie Hammer, Shia Lebeouf, Lady Gaga, Lindsay Lohan, etc. Amber split from her wife Tasya in mid 2012 when she was 26.

The Australia thing was on her and the household team - Johnny was already in Australia working and not really involved. Almost all the communication about it is between Amber, the household manager Kevin and the person assistant Kate.

AngelinaFangelina · 17/05/2022 19:17

I didn't through her film work, only through the unflattering headlines in the news. I know she was in Aquaman but it was so abysmal I turned it off after 25 mins so didn't really clock she was in it.
They've both effectively fucked themselves in relation to any future credible film roles; with the seething hatred towards AH no producer is going to risk a box office flop sticking her in a role however talented she is. Shit sticks, and these two have a whole lorry of the stuff.

You're not missing much (except for Wonder Woman which I liked).

I wonder if Tim Burton will stick by Depp. They have been friends and made movies together for 25 plus years. If anyone was to hire him again, I would think it would be Burton.

MarshaBradyo · 17/05/2022 19:20

Only just

I saw a movie with her in it, I had to Google as a reminder re which one

the Rum Diaries - couldn’t remember name until googling

gunnersgold · 17/05/2022 19:23

She is a famous actress , why wouldn't you have heard of her ??
I don't know who is right or wrong and don't care but she is famous and successful in her own right .

HolyHiVisOfStEvenEdge · 17/05/2022 19:24

Yes, I saw her on Top Gear years ago in the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car slot. I’d never seen anything she’d been in but I knew from that she was an actress (Jeremy Clarkson mentioned a couple of her films).

eyeoresancerre · 17/05/2022 19:24

I'm may be wrong but wasn't he found guilty on probability of 12 out of 14 charges at the last trial. From what I've read he was abusive and was found guilt in the previous trial. I may be wrong but if this is true why is she getting so much shit?

Same. I never watch DC so wouldn't have known her from it.

EinsteinaGogo · 17/05/2022 19:31

The whole thing is a mess.

I find it very difficult that JD is being revered and feted when he is also a mess and no doubt manipulative with a real imbalance of power.

AH is very very hard to take seriously though, not least because her legal team is shocking.

She also doesn't help herself. Yesterday she swore till blue into the face that she had donated her $7million divorce settlement to children's charities even though they, as evidenced, confirmed they had not received a penny from her.

Yesterday's

He was found guilty in the UK, in his suit against the UK press. This is a US based suit.

If you read the judgement, it was a weird case. It was against the Sun, not Amber and the judge just accepted everything Amber said as a witness as truth. SO it was a case of I believe Johny abused her because Amber said so and I think Amber is a credible witness. Even though at this point there is a lot of evidence showing that 'truth' the judge beleived were lies. The judge also dismissed all of Johnny's evidence without really considering it - asuming everyone around Johnny ould lie to protect him. The judge's son worked with the defendent (Dan Wootten) and they are all connected to Rupert Murdoch who owns the Sun (Elon Musk paid for Amber's lawyers for that trial and Rupert Murdoch sits on Tesla Board of Directors). It was all a bit incestuous!

ZealAndArdour · 17/05/2022 19:32

I was only saying earlier how fucking crazy it is to see so many women visibly excited and gleeful at the abuse and ridicule of another woman. There’s a palpable excitement to it which is really odd and confusing. Do all of Depp’s little foot soldiers think he’s gonna personally thank them with a go on his magical Hollywood cock?

Staffy1 · 17/05/2022 19:42

JonSnowedUnder · 17/05/2022 17:44

In fairness she only counter-sued, which I'm guessing she was advised to. He sued first, she has said a few times she did not want to go to court. After this trial I think JD will work and earn again. Even if she wins I don't see AH being employed in the industry again.

It will be interesting to see if his career will take off again, he seems to have gone to pot. Even a few years ago on the Graham Norton show I wondered what had happened to him, he seemed a bit dazed and confused, bloated, and wearing eye-liner, which isn’t a good look on a middle aged man. Not sure his decline on work has all been to do with AH.

You know, that really isn't an accurate representation of the UK case. The judge heard evidence from a variety of witnesses, there was a variety of evidence submitted in the form of photos and videos. Each instance was discussed in court in detail by the defence and the prosecution teams. There is a written summary (lengthy) of the judge's reasoning and conclusions. Depp had every opportunity to counter the evidence provided by The Sun's team. Furthermore, Depp's request for an appeal was later denied by a team of 3 judges on the grounds that there would not be a different outcome.

Perhaps you could indicate what incestuous connections those judges had to the people you view as controlling the outcome of that trial?
